Does anyone else think that the Harry & Meghan show isn't going to be that explosive?

I really doubt that loads of dirt will be raked, or muck spread. I'm guessing that there will be a few "it was hard to speak" type complaints, which the media will blow up, but that it's not actually going to be as exciting as we're all being led to believe?

You'd think Harry might have set up an informal meeting with Will and Kate and they (well Kate) could have given her the heads up.

Why can't people just accept others account of racism - people don't do this for sexism or homophobic slurs? Beg for the context or else the argument is invalid - why can't you just accept their account and accept racism is highly likely in a royal family?!

They really should have said who made those comments. They are not protecting anyone, instead they have put the whole RF under suspicion. The whole Internet is people guessing who it is.

Just saw a clip on breakfast that- thought Oprah looked sceptical rather than sympathetic.

My friend is mixed race and literally said that herself. Clearly she isn’t racist towards herself. I think it was just like me and my DH (who is another nationality with darker hair/olive skin but nonetheless white) having discussions about what hair colour our DC would be as my family are all very fair.

Absolutely agree. I can't much fault Meghan other than she's a bit of a brat. But thinking she didn't have to curtesy to the Queen and thinking she could trot off and do any interview she wants whenever she wants is a woeful failure on behalf of her husband.

Yes I agree, he should have been open and honest about it and then Meghan could have made an informed decision about what she wanted to do. He might have thought he was being nice by being reassuring, but it was the opposite. I do feel for her being thrown in at the deep end, and don't doubt that the expectations she had were way off the reality (there's only so much you can 'know' from looking online or whatever). Regardless of titles, it does seem unfair that Archie wasn't to be afforded protection, and again, that should have been something he had clarified beforehand.

Did Meghan say that the marriage certificate (the real one?) from 3 days earlier hangs on her wall at home?
I assume they signed something at the windsor wedding. Can you have two marriage certificates from a legal perspective? The whole thing is so odd. I can't imagine they would say something that could be so easily disproved.
Also why didn't they just say no to the big wedding? Harry isn't an heir, no expectation. The whole build up to the marriage was huge too, expensive engagement dress, photo shoot etc.

I would be very surprised if it was Charles who mentioned Archie’s skin colour , sounds more like PP but whoever it was , he/she should be named rather than tarring the whole RF as racists.
My understanding is that Archie becomes an HRH when Charles becomes King ( grandchild of monarch) . Could be wrong but that’s my reading . In the meantime he could be styled Earl of Dumbarton or Haz’s other title .

Same, everything seemed harmonious then. I think it was the security issue & the fact they felt they were thrown under the bus press wise.

@ImAncient that’s so true. Charles looked very welcoming and proud at the wedding and seemed very caring in general.

If she was the one who mentioned she’d lost him, then it was fair game to talk about it.

It could be anyone who said it, one of the more distant family members maybe.

You’d think after Harry grew up with both his parents doing those interviews about their private lives, he’d want to spare Archie from it.

At our wedding rehersal the vicar told dh and I we were now married as we said the vows 🤷‍♀️

I have never seen anything much about Meghan's first husband, is he silent about his marriage to her?
