Apparently it’s already been broadcast!

I think the UK media is foul, kicking one woman, having a bitching agenda, fabricating crap stories and generally being complete arseholes about a female who really hasn't said much is vile but people seem to relish the hatred and nastiness, wonder who else would take all the hatred without speaking up for themselves

PicsInRed · 07/03/2021 13:15

No one on MN would make blatantly racist comments

Oh they have, many times, but these get deleted, then people can claim it "never happens" on MN.

I'm starting to think the nasty racist threads should be preserved and deposited in a special topic "racist shit MNers said". You know, for the record and to prevent deniability and gaslighting.

UK racism tends to be coy, sly and forgive me tinkly laugh. It's so much harder to robustly call out an offender in the middle of an open plan office when they say something with a big smile, making "friendly conversation" wording it for maximum deniability. Then you are unreasonable and "aggressive". Then you are the "bully". Not them. As they were just making "friendly conversation".

Liquorishtoffee · 07/03/2021 13:16

The US media isn’t much better - a bit more bonkers if anything.

@Roussette

The poor me act is really tiresome. He's not exactly the brightest light in the harbour

Nice.

Hmm

And?

These two are forever banging on about what victims they are. He lectures people about the environment and being raindrops falling to the earth yet they live in a 16-bathroom house in a drought prone part of the state, hard nice.

Littlegirlplustwo · 07/03/2021 13:17

I find the adverts too cringey so I don’t think I’d be able to sit through the actual interview.

I think unless they really acknowledged how lucky they are (in comparison to what’s going on in the world right now), and don’t come across too whiney or trash his family (unlikely) they are going to come off terribly from this.

In 6 months time everyone will have moved on, all mystery will be gone and the royal family will carry on quieting doing their work.

I don’t blame them for wanting to live in sunny LA, making millions and not have to do the boring RF commitments. I just think they could have gone about it in a much better way where everyone could have got what they wanted.

What... logical discussion like my previous post... you mean that sort of logical discussion?

queenofarles · 07/03/2021 13:20

Oh, goodie, can we Oprah-bash now? entirely up to you HmmmmmmInteresting, Hmm.
My reasons have zero to do with race, as I’m clearly able to judge people on their character and conducts. not colour of skin.

Absolutely
KaptainKaveman · 07/03/2021 13:20

@PicsInRed agreed. And people who challenge racism are frequently accused of being 'woke' or 'the radical left'.

I know which I'd rather be.

Roussette · 07/03/2021 13:20

I find the continual denigrating of Harry's intelligence horrible. Not the brightest light in the harbour is admittedly a new one.
We have had the lot. Dim. Stupid. A thick ginge. And so on...

Any other place than an M&H tread it would not be allowed. Yet somehow it's fair game to call these two every name under the sun.

And FWIW K&W do their fair share of private jet travel whilst lecturing on too.

redspecial · 07/03/2021 13:21

you are all being manipulated. to make someone a giant pile of money.

Nazarin Zaghari Radcliffe - a name to throw into the mix. I hope everyone here can focus on better causes soon.
Prince Andrew - a name to throw in the mix.

I hope everyone here can focus on better causes soon - justice for his (alleged) trafficked rape victims.

To consider working for NHS 111 or as a disability nurse assessor - I don’t want to work as a face to face nurse anymore .... I feel burnt out & I’m having problems with my hands & back making it difficult to do ordinary clinical tasks ....anyone working in these roles that could kindly offer advice - thanks 😊

Yeah, Rosette, none of us have given logical arguments- only shouty censorship Hmm

Gaslighting is their modus operandi

It's allowed a lot on Brexit and political threads. Hmm

But it's good to know their PR keeps its finger on the pulse on MN.

vlnr77yac · 07/03/2021 13:26

Has anyone noticed how quickly MN is killing ALL threads about the Royals as soon as a certain prince is mentioned? Its like the politburo on steroids. So a forum for discussion is now banning certain subjects. when did this happen?

Roussette · 07/03/2021 13:27

What? Prince Andrew you mean?

vlnr77yac · 07/03/2021 13:27

I mean Prince Andrew since the racism against H&M has NEVER bothered MN.

If racism in the UK is so coy then why is it so common for people on MN to refer to Americans as thick, uneducated, rude, etc.? I don't see people here making similar comments about any other nationality. If they did they would be rebuked by other posters and flagged off. But that doesn't happen if the slagging off is about Americans.

Unfortunately, you are absolutely correct
redspecial · 07/03/2021 13:31

didn't Diana say Harry was 'a bit thick'? but posters on here know him better I suppose.

I have noticed this. Is there a reason why they are zapping threads about this man. However, they seem fine about keeping up some of the really nasty , salacious ‘stories’ about Meghan and Harry.
starfro · 07/03/2021 13:33

What is the difference between racist and non-racist criticism of Meghan?

All I see is people wound up by the hypocrisy of, for example, lecturing about climate change whilst using private jets to travel all around the world.

OverweightPidgeon · 07/03/2021 13:34

@redspecial I think Diana called herself thick as 2 short planks

Roussette · 07/03/2021 13:34

I doubt that very much.

It is not right to keep throwing out all this 'he's thick' stuff. It's horrible
