Mother's Day Facebook tat

In the lead up to Mother's Day I'm sure my Facebook will be full of these handmade "bargains"

This one is definitely overpriced and definitely tat in my opinion. £33 for a couple of frozen waffles plus cake in a jar, because who doesn't love that, and a few other items.

Passthewinebottle · 06/03/2021 14:46

Jesus fucking Christ. A fiver maybe (but it's still minging) but £33??!!

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 06/03/2021 14:49

Mine's full of similar, although all handmade stuff.

That one does look particularly stingy!

This is being sold local to me for £15. Much nicer & WAY better value (not that it's difficult tbh)

Been saving these as i knew there'd be a thread about mothers day tat!!
Check out these beauties....but hurry, they're apparently selling out fast!
£30 for a few chocs!

Holothane · 06/03/2021 15:13

That top one looks revolting those waffles are not that nice, honestly the tat that is sold is shocking.

woodhill · 06/03/2021 15:16

My dm wouldn't appreciate any of those apart from the £15 one . The first is particularly rip off and looks awful

MonkeyPuddle · 06/03/2021 15:17

Not specifically Mother’s Day but this beauty was offered up the other day. A steal at £40.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 06/03/2021 15:18

Got a lady who makes cake on my Facebook doing hampers..and hers are lovely, have lots in and aren't 33 quid that's madness!!

Do find mothers day tat less fun or extreme then Christmas. Less possablities lol. Just crazy prices though!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 06/03/2021 15:19

@MonkeyPuddle holy crap!!!

MonkeyPuddle · 06/03/2021 15:24

Every time I look at it I crack up.

Livedandlearned · 06/03/2021 15:27

@MonkeyPuddle that is pretty horrific and not for throwing around! Throwing in the bin would be better Grin

I often wonder about the chocolate trees, dies anyone actually buy them? And how did they decide that £30 was a good price??

Theelderscrolls · 06/03/2021 15:59

There are fucking loads of these things on my local Facebook groups. Are their friends and family just buying them out of pity??

peak2021 · 06/03/2021 16:08

Just leave Facebook then.

Livedandlearned · 06/03/2021 16:27

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 06/03/2021 16:59

A pack of Tena Lady would just set that off perfectly, @Looneytune253

WorzelleeJohnson · 06/03/2021 16:59

Oh my.. The vagisil horror box wins. Grin

triceratops12 · 06/03/2021 17:06

I'm sorry but that vagisil looks used!!! I'm sure I can see the squeeze marks in the middle!!!

TinySongstress · 06/03/2021 17:06

Admittedly I'm not a mother, but for all the joys motherhood must bring, I'm not being persuaded to shred my pelvic floor for a bar of Moser Roth and a tube of vagisil...

TinySongstress · 06/03/2021 17:07

Hang on, is that 'Dick Lick' !?! Envy

pumpkinpie01 · 06/03/2021 17:09

Dick Lick ! Omg imagine giving that to your mum , that's so funny . Looks like whoever made that one up just raided the bedside cabinet

AllTheCakes · 06/03/2021 17:11

Wtf is Dick Lick Sad That’s awful!
