Film and TV bits you find unreasonably funny

I was just talking to a friend of mine about films and Runaway Bride came up. She said one bit has her mum in stitches. Its the bit where Julia Roberts jumps on a FedEx truck and someone asks 'where is she going?' and Hector Elizondo says 'i dont know, but wherever it is she will get there by 6pm tomorrow'. For me where she gets stuck on the church bell and Richard Gere says 'sanctuary, sactuary' just gets me and i dont know why!

The 'well we'll call you Lord Rodney' line in OFAH kills DH every time

How about you?

Jack meeting Cher Smile

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 26/03/2021 22:04

Also the Apprentice, there is a later episode where they making candles or something and Nick just casually tells them that they've bought sandalwood instead of cedarwood and the bill was thousands of pounds, and the woman's jaw literally drops. Gets me every time

I just love Nick's..'anyway ill leave that with you'..drop and run lol

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit

How are you disabled if you don't mind me asking?

..... acid 😂😂😂

oobedobe · 26/03/2021 22:53

Spaced

Tim mentioning Gillian Anderson coming in number one for FHM woman of the year.

Daisy (talking about something else): 'What about you?'
Tim: "I didn't place'

It's all in the delivery.

Gives me the giggles whenever I think of it.

FromDespairToHere · 26/03/2021 22:57

Most of Black Books tbh, especially the first ep when Bernard prances up to the skinheads and says "which one of you bitches wants to dance?"

The Office where Keith is telling Dawn that in America your fanny is your arse "not... your minge." Then he bites the scotch egg to stop himself from laughing.

And not an actual comedy but little Marion Kelly marching into her dad's interview, the baby following in the walker and their mum dragging them both out - I never ever ever get tired of watching that video, it cracks me up every time.

PandemicPalava · 26/03/2021 23:02

The bit in Booksmart where the girls are off the faces and turn into Barbie Dolls.

Redbrook · 26/03/2021 23:19

Victoria Wood - ‘Is it on the trolley. Can you point to it’

Neonlightning · 26/03/2021 23:41

Friends, "PIVOOOOOOT"... "shut up, shut up, shut UPPPPPPPPPP" scene.

I laugh cry every time. Only thing better is the pivot blooper scene.

PasstheBucket89 · 26/03/2021 23:44

Lots of Will and Grace moments! When Jacks dad dies and he keeps breaking into Papa can you hear me randomly,
All of Jacks scenes with Zandra,
Karen! enough said
The more recent series where Jack puts too much numbing cream on his face and Will tells him eating a banana will help, Grin

Sean Hayes is an absolute master of physical comedy!!

LongHotSummerJustPassedMeBy · 26/03/2021 23:50

The IT Crowd episode where Moss is questioned in court and becomes more and more nervous.

The Frasier episode when he gives a rude guy an 'etiquette lesson' and Niles falls over in the cafe.

CaffeineAndCrochet · 27/03/2021 00:39

The 'Cwying' singer in Only Fools and Horses.

ChocOrange1 · 27/03/2021 03:25

Hahaha oh yes I love that. Its the little girls jaunty little walk that sets me off every time 😂
I bet there have been a lot more instances like that since the pandemic and everyone working from home!

Shorthairlady · 27/03/2021 10:06

In OFAH when Rodney says he's going into the holiday home business and grandad pipes up "what you got, a Wendy house?" Has me laughing like I've never heard it before.

againandagainoncemore · 28/03/2021 22:38
There are some clips on YouTube of an old series called On the Piste. It's a programme about first time skiers. I cannot watch it without crying. Kevin. Oh my god.
We have just watched this. Cried laughing. Thankyou. #savekevin
Happinessisawarmcervix · 28/03/2021 22:55

All of the “Beer” episode of Blackadder II. “Wicked child! We shall have our turnip as god intended.”

And a really early Eddie Izzard sketch about being raised by wolves. “They called me.....Grrr.”

RedRec · 28/03/2021 23:34

Steve Martin as Cowboy Dan in Parenthood.

RedRec · 28/03/2021 23:37

Oh and Reece Shearsmith as Stink Ray the fishmonger in Car Share. "Tis my mother tongue".
Outtakes of it are even funnier.

Harrystylesismyjam · 28/03/2021 23:58

So many mentioned here but also This Country when they’re getting Kerry’s mum to shout tomato. Cracks me up every time.

midlifecrash · 29/03/2021 00:14

OFAH Del and Trigger go to a bar up West, in the Eighties

Del (aside): you got to remember Trigger, what these birds are interested in is money

Trigger (raising his voice): I saw one of them old five pound notes the other day

SleepingStandingUp · 29/03/2021 00:19

Spaceballs - coming the desert. In my defense i was young and its just stuck in my head as VERY funny. And the Virgin alert.

LoveFall · 29/03/2021 00:34

Monty Python, the Dead Parrot Sketch
The scene in There's something about Mary where the idiot suitor has drugged the little dog and is trying to revive it

peachgreen · 29/03/2021 00:51

I laughed so hard when Romesh hurled the watermelon onto the floor in the first episode of Taskmaster that I thought I was going to go into labour. Magnificent.

There's also an amazing scene in Cougar Town where Bobby and Lori try and fail to high five each other which cracks me up completely.

sazza76 · 29/03/2021 03:51

Father Ted - the conversation about the cows being small or far away. Father Jacks brick. My Lovely Horse

IT Crowd, when Jen believes she is holding the internet. The whole eposide with the disabled toilets in.

Blackadder - When Lord Percy invented ‘Green’. Blackadder goes fourth, Baldricks Boom Boom poem & ‘wibble’

The Mary Whitehouse Experience - some of the History Today sketches were hilarious, ‘thats you that is’.

Bloopers, Bradley Walsh trying not to lose it on the Chase

OFAH - the groovy club

sashh · 29/03/2021 04:03

At the end of one of the James bond films the bad guy has a fluffy white cat (?Blofeld).

The cat is struggling to get out of bad guy's arms, bad guy just carries on acting, the cat carries on trying to escape.

Harrystylesismyjam · 29/03/2021 10:44

I love Romesh Ranganathan’s ‘bit’ in his stand up where he talks about iPhones vs Android ‘you’re not going fucking off grid mate’.

And in Rob and romesh vs fashion when they did the modelling shoot, I laughed until I cried when the finished picture got put up in Times Square.
