Film and TV bits you find unreasonably funny

I was just talking to a friend of mine about films and Runaway Bride came up. She said one bit has her mum in stitches. Its the bit where Julia Roberts jumps on a FedEx truck and someone asks 'where is she going?' and Hector Elizondo says 'i dont know, but wherever it is she will get there by 6pm tomorrow'. For me where she gets stuck on the church bell and Richard Gere says 'sanctuary, sactuary' just gets me and i dont know why!

The 'well we'll call you Lord Rodney' line in OFAH kills DH every time

How about you?

Also What We Do In The Shadows where Nandor wants glitter to make him sparkly 'like Twilight' and buys 'creepy paper' and the superb owl episode.

Alan Partridge 'do you like me sex wise?' and the whole chocolate orange debacle

CheesyChipsOnWembleyWay · 07/03/2021 14:36

Do you like circuses?

Early Doors.

Thankyou for reminding me of Kevin... 'God Almighty' ... I remember watching that at home with my mum and dad and we were in hysterics.. I'm sure they speeded that chairlift up, fantastic 😂

HunterAngel · 07/03/2021 16:59

The arrest scene in The Heat where she rings the mans wife and tells her the husbands getting arrested for picking up a prostitute. Then chases down a drug dealer (with the husband in the car) and throws a watermelon at him. Melissa McCarthy does a hilarious hard arse cop!

It's a pleasure. I love the drama unfolding behind him on the drag lift as he manages to move about an inch whilst putting in enough effort to climb the Matterhorn Grin
Soubriquet · 07/03/2021 18:19

Any of the Halloween episodes on brooklyn 99

Elderflower14 · 07/03/2021 18:21

I love the chase scene in What's Up Doc with Barbra Streisand and Ryan O Neill. They are riding in and on an ice cream bicycle and being chased through San Francisco..

@LunaHeather

No one will know this will they?

Tim Vine in Not Going Out "I'm in a rock band now, my Elaine Paige days are over".

Also Lee confronting the noisy neighbour and being asked "do you want a naughty naughty spanky bum bum?" 😂

I love this when they burst into I know him so well

I love the some Mother's do 'Ave 'em roller skate stunt filmed in Watford

Bananalanacake · 07/03/2021 18:35

Not Going Out, Lee letting a film crew make a porn film in the flat. Lucy coming home to a guy hanging upside down and Daisy saying because I'm a sexual deviant. I've sort of forgotten it but it was hilarious, is it on Netflix?

Greencabin · 07/03/2021 18:38

Friday Night Dinner - Jim is heavily sedated as this dogs sleeping pills by mistake , he goes to ahis neighbours house, worse for wear so Jackie helps him walk down the hallway, he looks and sees a picture on the wall , just a random print of a cartoon woman and he squirts his eyes with a scared look on his face and goes ' Margaret Thatcher' . I don't know why , it really makes me laugh everytime.

Dinkydody · 07/03/2021 18:50

Same here 😂 gets me every time 🤣

Dinkydody · 07/03/2021 19:08

Have you seen the blooper of Ross playing the bagpipes? Jennifer Aniston just can’t contain her laughter.. check it out on YouTube 😁

Onlyahalfbottle · 07/03/2021 19:14

The episode of Frasier when he has to come up with a new jingle for his show and he ends up with a full orchestra and choir with Niles doing a spoken word section, I watched it yesterday I'd forgotten how much it makes me laugh!

BreadmanAndCake · 07/03/2021 19:35

Basically any of Nighty Night.

"Now I'm not being funny..but Terry would have wanted you all to chip in...otherwise it just gets nasty"

"Smashed prawns in a milky basket"

I love that! I actually wish tv shows would keep in stuff like that when it happens or even write it in - sometimes a character says or does something funny that in real life, the other characters in the scene would find as funny as the audience finds it, but they don’t laugh! Let them laugh!

Captain Holt getting diarrhoea from the street meat always makes me laugh. Also any episode with Doug Judy Grin
user1493423934 · 08/03/2021 12:06

The scene in the first American Pie film where the male character who got off with Stifler's Mum (can't remember his name) has too many laxatives and shits himself in the girls toilets.
The aeroplane scene in bridesmaids and also the scene where she calls the teen girl a 'little cunt'. Laughed so hard the first time I saw it.

woodhill · 24/03/2021 10:03

Also Benidorm always makes me laugh

42andcounting · 24/03/2021 10:22

Cone Heads, the consumption of mass quantities, it just kills me even though I've watched it hundreds of times

Whitney168 · 24/03/2021 10:32

So much in Friends ...

The most random one for me is the Thriller dance scene in 13 Going On 30 - makes me cry laughing, I've no clue why.

garlictwist · 24/03/2021 10:41

The scene in Friends when Ross is deciding whether to come onto his cousin. "Say something - say anything. THIS IS THE LONGEST ANYONE HAS NOT SAID ANYTHING"

"I haven't had sex for a very long time"

saracorona · 24/03/2021 10:54

Charlie Murphy's true Hollywood stories enacted by Dave Chappelle. I've even watched the interviews about the authenticity of the stories. Just brilliant!
Something About Mary, so shocking I couldn't breathe
