I was just talking to a friend of mine about films and Runaway Bride came up. She said one bit has her mum in stitches. Its the bit where Julia Roberts jumps on a FedEx truck and someone asks 'where is she going?' and Hector Elizondo says 'i dont know, but wherever it is she will get there by 6pm tomorrow'. For me where she gets stuck on the church bell and Richard Gere says 'sanctuary, sactuary' just gets me and i dont know why!

The 'well we'll call you Lord Rodney' line in OFAH kills DH every time

How about you?

Every single episode of Car Share especially the monkey one.
Thank you for reminding me of that episode, it was hilarious 🤣

In What we do in the shadows (film) when they're getting dressed up to have a night out but they can't see themselves in the mirror so they have to draw each other to see what they look like.

The Inbetweeners movie dance scene is hilarious.

Did Chris Rea crack an egg into Bob Mortimer's bath?? It's David Mitchell's reaction that kills me.

Taskmaster Bob, Aisleyn and Sally performing the “Rosalind” song to Rosalind.

Big Train - the jockeys being hunted by predators like The Artist formerly Known as Prince

Yonderland - “thank you Debbie” song.

Airplane - “I just wanted to say good luck, we’re all counting on you”.

The "Millicent Bystander" bit in Flushed Away. Makes me cry with laughter every time and my partner looks at me like i'm insane and reminds me how many times I've seen that film.

Also the Scottish Falsetto Sockpuppet Theater often make me laugh so hard I can't breathe

Cariadmehome · 07/03/2021 00:55

@HippyChickMama
But also: "there are two things you must know about the wise woman...." makes me laugh every time!

grassisjeweled · 07/03/2021 00:57

Derry girls, first episode I think, the super mouthy one with the perm says 'motherfuckers', it's so 90s and so hilarious.

I can’t go past Putney on the train without saying “Be this... Putney?”

Bottom always makes me laugh! My personal favourite:

Richie: we'll play pin the tail on the donkey
Eddie: we haven't got a donkey
Richie: pin the tail on the fridge
Eddie: we haven't got a tail
Richie: pin the sausage on the fridge
Eddie: we haven't got a pin
Richie: sellotape a sausage to the fridge
Eddie: we haven't got a sausage
Richie: PUT A BIT OF SELLOTAPE ON THE FRIDGE Grin

Baldrick's turnip.

Also names that match jobs.

The "dogging" episode makes me 😂 with laughter!

Bridget Jones (can’t remember which one, the first?!) when she yells “BUGGER OFF” at the carol singers.

Also the Come Dine With Me when the contestant sticks his finger in an orange. So puerile.

ChessieFL · 07/03/2021 02:59

Pretty much everything Victoria Wood does, but ‘Let’s Do It’ is a particular standout.

Not Going Out where Tim and Lee are singing I Know Him So Well then realise they’re being watched and immediately go into The Ace Of Spades

Friends where Phoebe is pretending to come on to Chandler and she says ‘I’m very bendy’

Ed Balls and Katya Jones doing Gangnam Style on Strictly - that but where they both do the side steps makes me giggle every time I see it

HoobleDooble · 07/03/2021 08:22

The Inbetweeners when Will craps himself during an exam.

Still Game 'pot o pish', throwing a stick off the top of the tower block and the Ned's dog going after it, Winston throwing his prosthetic leg at a mugger ... too many more to mention.

Bottom "trick or treat, no sweets, just cash!" and the sprouts Mexican.

Phoenix Nights "It's a love length", when the tiger face paint won't come off and "What would Thora Hurd do?"

Royal Family Dave's line about not shitting on your own doorstep, Jim paying a quid for his pants and the 'Mambo Number 5' decorating scene.

Comic Relief a few years ago when Peter Kay and Matt Lucas came out and joined in with the Proclaimers.

Just about anything Peter Kay touches.

Loveacoseynightin · 07/03/2021 08:33

Phoneshop - when Ashley goes back to the Cabin Crew girls house and in the middle of getting fruity she stops and farts and then chucks the remote and tells him to turn the tv up could be a long one

Rayn · 07/03/2021 08:35

White chicks! When Luttrell gets high and starts dancing with the whistle. In fact most of that film cracks me up!

groundcontroltomontydon · 07/03/2021 08:38

Also What We Do in the Shadows where the vampires are going to collect the Baron. Nadja says 'we should get a chariot led by 12 black alligators' and Nandor replies 'that's a lot of alligators - what about a van?'
And the end of the episode of Car Share where Kayleigh puts the wrong fuel in John's car and the post-its read 'Rachel's bitch' and 'Shit for brains'
And Dinner Ladies where Philippa replies to Stan's 'my Dad was a desert rat ...' with something like 'I don't care if he blow dried his hair with an anti-tank gun'

groundcontroltomontydon · 07/03/2021 08:42

And Victoria Wood's world of Sacherelle, and spoodoolykay.

LegendDairy · 07/03/2021 09:13

Romesh's Taskmaster Treewizard

EvilRingahBitch · 07/03/2021 09:33

So so many of these but now someone’s mentioned Strictly I have to say Snowdance. Lisa Snowdon dressed in a bacofoil swimming cossie being lugged around by Brendan Cole who had clearly overestimated his own strength, looking, in the words of. Digital Spy poster like a very small granny trying to fit a ten kilo turkey into an undersized oven. It’s the fact that Lisa is overacting her socks off to a melodramatic rendition off “I would do anything for love (but I won’t do that)” which cracks me up.

Also find Gangnam Style hilarious for all the right reasons and Michael Vaughan’s Jive for the sheer incompetent enthusiasm of it.

amusedbush · 07/03/2021 12:03

The scene in Extras where Andy (Ricky Gervais) is trying to chat up a woman while tossing a bottle of water in the air and catching it nonchalantly. He then opens it to discover it’s fizzy water so it explodes and he tries to shove it in his mouth to catch it all. The woman is watching like Confused as he stands there choking on a geyser of sparkling water - I laugh every time.

And a sketch from Smack the Pony where a woman is carjacked but she had just farted before the man jumped in. She’s trying to apologise and explain that she hadn’t been expecting company and the smell is so bad the carjacker makes her pull over so he can get out Grin

CassandraCross · 07/03/2021 13:30

Probably get shot for this but the scene in Malcolm in the Middle when they are Curling using babies in the gym, the babies just merrily whizzing across the floor of the gym just makes me laugh so much.

The Monty Python scene where they are doing some weird dance which involves hitting someone on the side of the face with a fish and John Cleese brings out a massive fish and whacks the other bloke off the side into the sea.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 07/03/2021 13:40

the bit in peppa pig where Suzie can whistle and peppa hangs up the phone i came on to say exactly that.

The nordic episode of QI. The whole of it.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 07/03/2021 13:41

Oh and competitive water drinking in smack the pony.

Sidge · 07/03/2021 13:57

The bit in The Hangover 2 where the guy says to Alan “come on fat Jesus”. Absolutely cracks me up.
