I live with my DH and have been working from home throughout. I don’t really leave the house apart from a walk to the park or the corner shop.

I haven’t seen my friends since last August and haven’t seen my family since last September.

Weirdly, I haven’t put on any weight in the past year, but I have a killer sweet tooth and my BMI is 29.9.

I’m planning to meet my parents for a walk in the park on the 29th March and then see my friends in April, so that gives me four weeks to blitz my diet and get some daily workouts in! πŸ’ͺ🏻

I’d love to lose half a stone. Anyone else?!

Yes - well about 6 weeks... I have my next supermarket shop arriving on Tuesday and this time I'm going to make sure biscuits and crisps are not featured as a main food group. Blush

Would like to lose around a stone overall that I've gained in the past year and get more active.

backonthescene · 28/02/2021 17:43

Sounds good! I’ve just said to DH that I am no longer buying junk food in the weekly food delivery!

I could really do with losing at least a stone. Just no idea where to start. However maybe being accountable on here will help me!

Cant stand the thought of a lovely Summer and feeling too self conscious to enjoy it.

backonthescene · 28/02/2021 19:59

That’s exactly how I feel too. I think I could do with losing 2-3 really but I just want to give myself a small, doable target to start with! And hope it will give me the boost I need to keep going.

I think that simply not buying the junk food will be a huge help. If it’s not here, we can’t eat it!

Yes! We had a takeaway tonight after a decent amount of wine last night and then that's it, for the next month we're going to behave ourselves, eat well, drink little, move more and get back to our pre-pandemic svelte selves!

LostForWords2021 · 28/02/2021 20:02

Yes please, mine is all around my stomach and I fear it’s wine related more than food.... and lack of exercise- I hate exercise, ugh

WalkingOverRainbows · 28/02/2021 20:08

Yes! Had a week off work and spent it....eating Blush Haave hideous hours for the next two weeks so if I can just make sure not to snack to stay awake on the commute then I should make some progress! I am in!

Hairbrush767 · 28/02/2021 20:08

Oh god yes please! The last 2 months have just been so hard, I need a shake up now! Two young kids, husband works away all week, im just eating everything in sight and not moving at all!

Inthevirtualwaitingroom · 28/02/2021 20:12

good idea, difficult to achieve personally, but great idea,

HLBug · 28/02/2021 20:14

Yes please. Started on Friday after 2+ months of what can only be described as "advanced hibernation". Have put on nearly a stone since this time last year - lost a bit last summer but winter/Christmas and subsequent lockdowns have meant it's all back on plus some more. I'm committed to no booze and sensible(ish) eating plus much, much, much more exercise. 16:8 and 5:2 have worked for me before but I'm absolutely awful at stress eating, and let's be honest there's been lots of reasons for that this year!!! Small children back to school should help enormously.

SignOnTheWindow · 28/02/2021 20:20

Yes, me. I need to lose about a stone. I'm chucking out the scales though and going by how my clothes look and feel. Scales always make me feel shit.

Zonefiver · 28/02/2021 20:30

Yes please! I definitely need to ditch the snacks and commit to exercising daily to move back towards pre-lockdown weight. I’d love to lose half a stone. I’m in!

foxywheaton75 · 28/02/2021 20:33

I'm in please. I need to loose a stone at least and just stop comfort eating.
More exercise and drinking lots of water too.

lgalb5 · 28/02/2021 20:48

Yes definitely me too please! Keen for my summer clothes to fit nicely once weather is better and we're allowed to go places! Find it so hard though - had upped the exercise but think I need to cut down on carbs etc to actually see a difference!

longhaulstress · 28/02/2021 20:51

Me too!
I haven't weighed myself in ages but am going to bite the bullet tomorrow. I've been doing loads of walking and eating my 5 a day just need to cut out all the other crap especially sugar I eat along with them! Am only going to drink alcohol one night a week and need to drink much more water. Doing a food shop in the morning.

yaboo · 28/02/2021 23:21

Hopefully I can join in, too?

I was planning to do this December, was going well, lost eight pounds in two weeks and then encountered a pot-holed road in the dark (I was pretending to be Rocky Marciano, jabbing and punching and.. yeah...) my foot went into a massive hole I couldn't see and I snapped my ankle. Grade 3. I haven't got any fatter, thankfully, but still could do with dropping a stone.

Laufeythejust · 28/02/2021 23:29

Me too please! I’ve lost 3 stone since April last year but my wedding has had to be postponed last month. Since then I have lost all motivation. I need to stop eating rubbish and put more effort into my workouts. I’m not sure what weight I want to lose but I would like to lose a few inches off my hips/ waist.

glosbucks · 28/02/2021 23:34

I'd love to join too please. Lockdown has not been good eating wise, I've been working in a high stress job and have turned to food for comfort. To lose Half a stone or abit more would be great.

grassisjeweled · 28/02/2021 23:35

Go on, I'll join you. Just realised you're starting tomorrow because it's March 1st! πŸ™„

I was rooting through some stuff today and found some pictures of me before my weightloss around 10 years ago, I look awful, I really do and can't believe it's me. I've stuck the pic on the fridge as a deterrent.

I've probably only gained 5/7 lbs this lockdown but don't want it to get any worse.

AlwaysTimeForWine · 28/02/2021 23:39

Me please!! Lockdown and peri-menopause has really messed with my health.
I have been trying to lose half a stone since January and it's just not shifting.

For the whole of January I watched what I ate, did two early morning online bootcamp sessions, and an evening kettlebells every week, plus walking the dog every day. But the rest of the time I sit on my arse working at my computer, and then ruin it all the weekends.

I haven't lost a single lb and am feeling very unhappy and disappointed in myself.

I need to rein it in an the weekends and really focus on good food in, less wine (can't give it up entirely) and keeping up the exercise.

I play a team sport that will be returning on the 29th and my kit doesn't fit. I'm embarrassed and heavier than I have ever been. I need to lose 2 stone, but 7lbs by the end of the month would make me happy!

smellyolddog · 28/02/2021 23:43

I'm in.. luckily I know the way to do it all but the kick up the bum is missing. So starting tomorrow no more Wine until Friday and no more puddings, rubbish snacks.

I should of food prepped tonight but I'm going to grab a shop tomorrow evening instead, at least 3- portions of fish a week and massive reduction in processed carbs. That should shift 3kg at least, in 5 weeks.

smellyolddog · 28/02/2021 23:45

@AlwaysTimeForWine the peri menopause really does mess with weight loss, our body's are just clinging on! I'm the same since January and nothing..

BusterTheBulldog · 28/02/2021 23:48

Yes please! I can’t get into half my clothes at the mo, need a kick up the bum!

adeleh · 28/02/2021 23:50

Yes, please. I’ve never joined one of these threads before. I need to lose four stone and need some motivation. I care, but just not quite enough to make myself stick to a diet. I’m going to try harder and try to do 10000 steps a day.
