Obviously we buy other things as well but these are bought every week.

This is also different to things we always have in the house such as rice, pasta, cereal, tinned tomatoes, tea.

Bread
Soya milk
Oat milk
Kids cereal
Salad stuff
Lots of veg
Tofu (lots of)
Kitchen roll
Some kind of vegan pizza for kids

Think that's it actually. Only because I get toilet roll, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies delivered quarterly. And I buy other stuff once a month so doesnt count for this thread.

Still spend a small fortune though.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 28/02/2021 20:00

Milk
Carrots
Cucumber
Green beans
Baby corn
Beef mince
Chicken
Salmon
Sausages
Eggs
Fruit
Cheese strings

DS only eats a few types of veg so it's the same every week, as long as he's eating veg I don't care!

Always buy the same type of meat/fish and do different recipes with it.

Pogostemon · 28/02/2021 20:00

Walnuts. We buy a bag every week.

I had a message at the end of last year from Ocado, informing us that we were our region’s biggest walnut consumers.

Are all these strawberries actually nice? I’ve always found out-of-season strawberries to be pretty horrible.

PattyPan · 28/02/2021 20:03

Always:
Bananas
Peppers
Broccoli
Loaf of wholemeal seeded bread
Houmous
Either spinach or kale
Gala apples
Avocados
1 pint whole milk & orange juice from the milkman

Usually:
Raspberries
Tofu
Wholemeal rolls
Quiche
Filled pasta
Veggie sausages
Spring onions
Battenberg cake... DP is addicted
Salmon
Mushrooms
Cheese, either Red Leicester or Wensleydale (DP could eat a whole packet of the latter in one sitting!)
Eggs
Cucumber
Bagels

At the moment we’re alternating supermarket one week and veg box the next so have whatever’s in the box on those weeks. There’s only two of us so it takes more than a week to get through the other staples like onions, oats, carrots, lentils, pasta, potatoes, Ribena, dried beans, tea, Flora, peanut butter, garlic, tinned tomatoes/sweetcorn if I get the 4 pack, frozen peas, olives, coffee etc.

PattyPan · 28/02/2021 20:08

@Pogostemon I have found the same, I love strawberries but they are totally flavourless out of season and not worth it. And only the organic raspberries are nice out of season, so I don’t get them either if the organic ones aren’t available.

married15 · 28/02/2021 20:08

@katy1213

Butter - two packets every time I walk past it.
Oh god this made me laugh. Love butter!

BigMamaFratelli · 28/02/2021 20:13

We get bread from the bakers every couple of days - I'm pretty intolerant to supermarket bread although I think it's the additives and yeast rather than gluten or anything. So we get a lovely sourdough loaf that costs less than a supermarket slicedGrin We are very lucky I know.

But my weekly shop always contains:
Milk
Naice butter
Cheese - lots of cheese
Fruit - the kids demolish however much I buyShock
Cat food
Wine
Breakfast goods - crumpets, brioche, scones.
Bacon
Prawns
Squash
Pepperamis- there would be uproar if we ran outGrin

RumJerrySailorRum · 28/02/2021 20:18
