Obviously we buy other things as well but these are bought every week.

This is also different to things we always have in the house such as rice, pasta, cereal, tinned tomatoes, tea.

Obviously we get other things too - but I always add the items above to the 'basket' along with a bottle of Champagne in order to reserve our slot.

Then I go back later to switch out the Champagne for actual food (I haven't forgotten yet).

My children would love to live in the houses where strawberries and grapes are bought weekly. Might start buying them more regularly because they all love them

The only things we buy absolutely every week are:
Oat milk
Soy milk
Bread
Apples
Carrots
Broccoli
Raspberry jelly
Dog treats
Olives

Everything else depends on what we're cooking that week and what's left in the cupboard.

QueenPaw · 28/02/2021 19:33

Bread
Milk
Some form of cooked sliced meat
Salad bag
Sliced gherkins addicted
Marmite rice cakes
Eggs

Everything else varies a lot

HaggisTheGreat · 28/02/2021 19:34

Not that much, actually. Things like garlic, potatoes, onions tend to last more than one week. Ditto any dried or tinned things (and I will usually then restock with a few tins or a big bag, ideally when on offer); make bread and bag of flour also lasts more than a week. Tend to vary fruit and veg a bit, including according to season. Still so bored of it all at the moment...

Weekly:
Cheddar
Milk
Salad, cucumber, tomatoes
Apples

JustAnotherUserinParadise · 28/02/2021 19:37

I really quite enjoyed doing our neighbour's shopping during lockdown 1 for the same reason I'm enjoying this thread - I'm nosy lol!
For us:
Flour or bread mix
Biscuits
little gem lettuce
Tomatoes
Hommous
butter
cheese
Yoghurt
Onions
Apples

We don't buy eggs as we have chickens, or milk as we use long-life almond milk and tend to buy a large amount in one go (ditto cat food and nappies).
