These are the most horrendous Adverts I have ever seen. They actually make me feel ill. Certainly would not even consider that perfume. Awful advert. The people who thought of that need sacking.

It looks like the start of a horror movie, just before they all get killed.

CandyCaneLane0 · 27/02/2021 21:10

Oh god I hate it!

endlesswicker · 27/02/2021 21:22

Grim isn't it? I think it has been discussed on MN before, and the general opinion was much the same.

Shufflebudge · 27/02/2021 21:25

Yes but it does the job. You all know the perfume. Bet if you were in the market for a new perfume you’d think of it and then want to know what it smelt like, even if it was only for a laugh. Then if you liked it you’d buy it. Job done. Adverts don’t have to be good they just have to be memorable

Whatflavourjellybabyisnice · 27/02/2021 21:33

I think it is an attempt to be a bit imperfect and draw in younger people by being a 'bit creative' but trying too hard.
The new Gucci ads are terrible for this. Almost trippy

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 27/02/2021 21:36

Horrid, cloying perfume and a terrible advert. If enough people don't like it enough to buy it, they'll stop making it.

Housewife2010 · 27/02/2021 21:39

The Marc Jacobs Perfect advert is even worse.

Honeyroar · 27/02/2021 21:40

For some reason all perfume adverts are weird and dreadful quality, but the Daisy one is as bad as it gets! It’s like airs aimed at halfwits!

Shufflebudge · 27/02/2021 21:41

@LyingWitchInTheWardrobe if you liked the smell you’d buy it. People don’t boycott things because the ads are annoying, brands are made from annoying ads

justanotherneighinparadise · 27/02/2021 21:42

We watched it this evening and commented how awful it was. I’m sick of beautiful women advertising perfume. Think of something different!!

MichelleScarn · 27/02/2021 21:43

It makes me think of the film/book the Virgin Suicides

CheeseAndHackers · 27/02/2021 21:46

Bloody dreadful advert, no idea what it actually smells like but even if I discovered it was like human catnip to me I'd refuse to buy it on principle as it's the only fuck you I have in my arsenal to the ad men. And I'm pretty darn sure they'll be men.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 27/02/2021 21:49

I'm a contrary person, very stubborn too. I happen not to like the perfume but the adverts are so disturbing that I wouldn't want to be associated with anything to do with it.

I've used insurance companies who are more expensive because they don't cold-call. We're not all the same but I suppose there are enough of the opposite type to keep the cold-callers and annoying advertisers, going.

I love the meercat advert (the last one) - and moved our home insurance over because of it.

LagneyandCasey · 27/02/2021 22:06

It reminds me of Picnic at Hanging Rock. My teen dd laughs at it too. They obviously didn't test the idea on teens.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 27/02/2021 22:07

I agree. Awful ad.

Shufflebudge · 27/02/2021 22:22

@LyingWitchInTheWardrobe you moved your home insurance because you liked an ad? Jesus Christ that’s odd.

24butfeeling80 · 27/02/2021 22:24

I’ve never seen it until just now. What a weirdly thought out ad.

It is my absolute favourite perfume though.

FrankButchersDickieBow · 27/02/2021 22:26

Yes so annoying. Daisy daisy daisy daisy. When it's on, we pretend to be in the cult and say daisy loads of time after the ad has finished. Lockdown definitely getting to us.

No adverts are more annoying than the Nationwide ones though. They actually make me feel proper angry.

Elouera · 27/02/2021 22:29

Not only the repetative Daisy is weird, but the complete lack of any bra or breast support when the girls are dancing about bothers me!

Onlinedilema · 27/02/2021 22:29

It’s not great but I don’t think any adverts are. I dislike the perfume too and daisies are not fragrant.

Akire · 27/02/2021 22:30

I think is very cultish too. Yes we girls love to run about in fields hugging each other and smelling daises. Could have got away with a bunch of 6y olds but 20y olds it’s just creepy.

Shufflebudge · 27/02/2021 22:33

Yes so annoying. Daisy daisy daisy daisy. When it's on, we pretend to be in the cult and say daisy loads of time after the ad has finished

Exactly. Job done. You remember the perfume. That’s ALL an ad aims for.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 27/02/2021 22:35

I always want Jesse from The Fast Show to pop up and sing "Give me your aaaaaanswerrrrr, doooooo!!!" after they've quite finished Grin

Mally2020 · 27/02/2021 22:36

finally someone has said it , I cringe at the advert , I have thought this since it first appeared on the youtube ads and tv , the previous ad was similar if you look it up but not as bad

MadameTuffington · 27/02/2021 22:36

DD18 is called Daisy - laughs hysterically whenever she sees it - I bought her the perfume once for Christmas - she liked 😂 I think a lot of expensive perfume ads are odd/pretentious/disturbing ...
