Best dog names you've ever come across

What are the most memorable, unique, or lovely dog names you've come across that you will never forget?

I met a dog called Beetlejuice today, thought it was brilliant! I also used to know a dog called midnight, never met another one but always loved the name.

This is Cow and Chicken. When his mum gave birth we identified each pup by it's distinguishing marks, as we weren't sure if we'd keep any so didn't want to allot proper names.

Cow resembled a Friesian and when we decided to keep him, his name just kind of stuck. When Chicken was born she was nicknamed Heart Butt as one of her black spots on her bum was shaped like a heart. Unfortunately it all merged into a big black blob as she grew, but none of us were willing to walk around the local woods shouting "Heart Butt!" anytime she was off lead anyway.

We settled on her favourite food, which still garners the occasional odd look from other dog walkers and neighbours.

2 dobermans called Obey and Solo, and a jack russle called kizzy.

Also had terriers called Cecil, spud and sparrow

We have a Jack Russell we call Peanut- she’s very popular but barks a lot!

My friend had a dog called Seth. I love that name. My daughter’s dogs are Jeff and Jim.

A black Labrador called - Robert !!

My first goldfish was called Robert

We told our breeder that we were going to call our Gordon setter Izzy so she gave her the kennel name Fizzy Izzy, suits her so well!
I always wanted to call a dog Doug (being Scottish it would be Doug the dug!)

Mine seems to be unique if not particularly funny- she's Penelope. Dax cross jack mongrel.

We have a kind of music theme of naming animals (started with Dizzee Rascal the hamster- she was female. Followed by Florence the hamster. Then Paloma and Pixie the cats. Then Dave Growl the cat. I still have Paloma and Dave. Paloma's full name is Paloma Joan (armatrading) and Dave's is David Bruce (Dickenson) Penelope is from the Beatles' song Penny Lane. I live in Liverpool. I wanted Shakira Shakira but was (possibly rightly so) vetoed.)

In the past i've had:

Ricoh the Akita (he was the spitting image of his dad, named after the photocopier)

Ellie the staff- she was black and white and named Cruella when I adopted her.

I know a dog called Sheldon (no idea what breed) and a mastiff called the equivalent of Dude, but in a different language.

As a child I named a neighbor’s puppy Dogtagnan, after the cartoons.
