What are the most memorable, unique, or lovely dog names you've come across that you will never forget?

I met a dog called Beetlejuice today, thought it was brilliant! I also used to know a dog called midnight, never met another one but always loved the name.

My late great little dog with a huge heart was "Javi Hamster" so people would pronounce his first name the proper Spanish way with an H not a J.

My friend has a chihuahua called Karen!

I had a Branston once, named obviously after the pickle!

A friend's 2 collies were called Colin & Barbara.

A neighbour has a couple of mixed breeds called Pepsi & Cola

Taxi - they lived in Soho, central London too.

We have Richard and Nigel. If I ever get another pet there will be a Gary or Myrtle.

A black Pug called Frank and a Miniature Schnuazer called Jessie J

My parents have a very old labrador called Marley.
Brother has a boxer called Buzz which really suits him and a sprokerdor called Darcy.
Sister has a Jug (Jack russel/pug mix) called Bentley and a Pug called Bailey (I wanted to call him Doug!)

No pets for me but a friend has a cat called Bernard which cracks me up

A pair of Doberman dogs called Val-Jean and Javert. Perfect!

A local Tory councillor has dogs named Maggie and Boris Presumably Maggie doesn't come when she's called and Boris humps anything that moves.

I did rather enjoy the sausage dog I met called Linda "after the vegetarian sausages"

There's a couple with slightly incongruous names in our local park too - Dave the Bichon Frise, and Sophie, an American Bulldog cross that I can only describe as hench whose best friend is a tiny Yorkie.

My friend has a gorgeous rescue Chiahuahua called Jon-Boy. It really suits him.

A Rottie called Harvey.

My current dachshund was already named when we got him. He appears to be unique for the breed in having a name which is too bland to bear repetition here.

Same here. Mine's a dachshund cross and has a very bland name but I knew him for 6 months before I adopted him, and by that point the name had well and truly stuck!

My friend had two dogs names Shug and Wilson. When they got a third they named him Come'er. This mean when dogs were out and about the could shout "Shug, Wilson Come'er (come here) 🤣

I knew a dog called John way before human names were popular for pets. In my road we have Alan, Eddie, Pete, Brenda and Ron. All dogs. I feel they should go to the bingo or play darts together

Black lab called Dave. Loved it.

I knew someone with a dog named Feline and a cat named Canine. one I heard being called was a Dorothy- small lap dog!
