Best dog names you've ever come across

What are the most memorable, unique, or lovely dog names you've come across that you will never forget?

I met a dog called Beetlejuice today, thought it was brilliant! I also used to know a dog called midnight, never met another one but always loved the name.

Have not RTFT but someone on MN once mentioned Daniel the Spaniel.

My eldest DS was non-verbal until 5-6 years. One of his first complete sentences was that he wished he had a cat called Russell.

(we are still waiting for Russell. We have 3 cats and 4 dogs and really cannot have any more right now. thankfully our older grumpy cat has taken Ds to her heart and is with him all day and all night so he is happy with that for now).

I know a beagle called Julie

Also know two French bulldogs called Monte and Carlo
And a Heinz 57 called Ricky

Colin the Collie says he wins. That is all.

Colin is a great name. Ian Hislop's glorious Maine coon cat is called Colin. perfect name for such a majestic beast.

I knew a Scottie called Angus MacCoatup

Two deerhounds called Barkis & Dorcas

Not RTFT so apologies if its been mentioned already, but I once seen online that someone had a tortoise called Voldetort

I know of a tiny Yorkie called Rocky he so does not resemble a fighter) and Hugo, a black Labrador .

DH won’t entertain us having a dog, but I’d love a black poodle to call Mazikeen 😆

I told my DH that if we had another daughter I'd name her Mazikeen or Lucifer if we had a boy as it's a mix of our names (Lucy and Christopher) he booked an appointment to be castrated.... I mean have the snip with a week 🤣😂

I had a dog called Derek when I met DH.

When his mother heard the name she went funny. Turned out her late brother had been called Derek...

Dh never ONCE mentioned to me in the months before meeting his mother that that was his late uncle's name!!

I had a jack russell as well! (Not called whisky though).

Crazy breed. Most stupidly courageous breed out there imo.

Our puppy is called Woof (glad to see he's not the only Woof on here!) DS named him after Where's Wally's dog.

My favourite though belonged to a family friend, she was called Sit. The most lovely dog and it was hilarious shouting for her in the park. To make her sit down you had to say down Sit 😂

Mr Darcey ! When I repeated the name back to the dog's owner (to check I hadn't misheard ) I called it ' Darcey', only to be corrected by the owner that it was Mister Darcey !!

Our cocker spaniel is called Jarvis and our beagle is a Jeremy:
