What are the most memorable, unique, or lovely dog names you've come across that you will never forget?

I met a dog called Beetlejuice today, thought it was brilliant! I also used to know a dog called midnight, never met another one but always loved the name.

Our current Lab is called Dave - everyone knows him as he's a bit of a wanderer too (wears a tracker so we know where he goes). His Dad was Reg and he has a brother called Colin. Going to name my next dog Roger. Friend has 2 brother GS called Smokey & Bandit (love those names)

A pair of spaniels called Hoover and Dyson (favourite occupation cleaning up any food dropped from a highchair by their owner's ds), later joined by the younger Henry.

A blue roan cocker called Deacon and a labrador called Turbo who was anything but fast.

My rescue arrived from Romanian with the name Andre which is perfect - he is now either Andre 3000 or Dr Dre, depending on the hip hop flavour of the day

We had a Finnegan and I loved it!

Very outing, perhaps, but we've had Darwin, Serendipity and Hera. We've also been owned by a cat called Carma (short for Carmichael), whose feline brethren were Corbierre, Merlin, Hermes and Hercules. All of the names got shortened - apart from Hera. She answers to Basil, weirdly.

Many years ago I had a boyfriend whose parents black labrador was called a racist name beginning with the letter N!

There’s a border terrier I see regularly round here named Mabel. I also know a really daft black Lab called Humphrey- it really suits him!

Our mongrel is called Rodney but this has now become Roddy/Rod and sometimes Rudy.

We had a dog called John when I was growing up. Absolutely no idea what my parents were thinking when they named him.

I often come across a collie called Lydia in our local park, walked by a lovely old man
I’m not sure why, but it makes me slightly hysterical. Lydia is just the best/worst name for a dog
