What are the most memorable, unique, or lovely dog names you've come across that you will never forget?

I met a dog called Beetlejuice today, thought it was brilliant! I also used to know a dog called midnight, never met another one but always loved the name.

I've just remembered meeting a dachshund called Frank.

Frank Furter, in full.

Knew of a Dalmatian called Smuggler! Loved it.(So called as he had a black patch over one eye)My friend (older lady) had 2 little dogs called Milly and Moppet .Another friends dog is called Ziggy.

A golden retriever called Mr Snuffles.

My Pekingese boy is called Mr Ming and his pal the British Shorthaired British Blue is called Oliver the Great.

SchubertSwan. There was a series called Rosemary and Thyme ,with Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris as two Detectives/Gardeners .In one scene an elderly gentleman has a black lab called Tiberius!

There is a 80s film with a dog called C’mere (come here) and I always thought that was clever.

We had some friends who went on holiday to France and thought it strange that all the dogs seemed to be called Viens ici.

My colleague has a sausage dog called sausage.

Always said our Airedale should have been called Willy Eckerslike.

As in Willy Eckerslike do as he's told. It works best in broad West Yorkshire accent.

The story of Gelert is my favourite dog-story though. Top name for a dog.

I knew a priest with an enormous dog called Gelert.

I show my dogs and I’ve come across some great ones in the show rings, the following ones I immediately think of - none of my breed because that would be too outing. We have some VERY odd names in my breed!

I also knew a delightful setter called James.

This weekend I met a Shih Tzu puppy, his name was Douglas. I also remember a wine merchant who had a labrador called Petrus.

We have two lurchers In the neighbourhood called Ronnie and Reggie

JRT called Trevor. My dog has the best name of all though, Milo

Dogs called Dave are the best - especially when they're running off and their owner is chasing after them shouting "Dave! Dave! Come back 'ere!" in an East London accent!

I've also heard of a Dee-Oh-Gee (or D O G), which I thought was pretty genius!

We have Tony Spinone who lives near us, also on a walk I met a big fluffy dopey dog called Hubert which was a perfect name for him, for some reason
