I know this has been done before but it's Saturday morning and I'm BORED. Fucking bored. Also feeling sorry for myself because the cat has fallen out with me. Here are a few of my tame ones:

Line of Duty is shit
I don't like dogs
Snapped and farted wasn't funny
Baby showers are fucking hideous
Ross Geller is the best Friend 👌

Unpopular opinion: I've loved Meghan since she was in Suits. Hope she brings the whole lot of them down, no more monarchy, yay

HereLiveIAmNotACat · 21/02/2021 11:54

Dogs are horrible.
A child can be raised happily without two parents involvement .
Cruises are shite and a waste of money.
Horse riding is weird and horsey people always look like horses.
Irons are pointless.
Avocado is gross.
Lush bath bombs are lovely.
‘No’ is not a full sentence and it’s rude and disrespectful to not offer someone your reasoning

Devaki · 21/02/2021 11:56

Schools should never have shut. The vulnerable should shield properly. Kids mental health is more important than the health of old people who have already lived their lives.

Bad spelling and grammar gets on my tits. It’s a drawer NOT draw. You bought it NOT brought it 🙈

MrsOrMiss · 21/02/2021 11:57

@PassionPeach
I'm only a strain if I USE the NHS. Fat or not. Have you tried to get any kind of Drs appointment lately?
I thought the point of this thread was to voice our unpopular opinions, I didn't realise they were to be critiqued too.
My first ever Biscuit just for you.

I'll add "should of", "would of" and "could of" to the list.

Argghhhhhh!!!!!

@wewillmeetagain

I think anxiety is an overused excuse that people use to get out of doing something they don't want to do tbh! Yes there are a few people who do suffer crippling real anxiety, but the vast majority that claim to, nope!
What is this based on hun?

Oh fuck all? Cool, cool

People should be kind without having to be told.
Coffee & tea tastes awful!
Lockdowns clearly do work as the numbers have gone down.
Holidays in the sun are wonderful-it’s not a holiday without the sun!
People who are desperate for schools to open are incredibly selfish & should appreciate spending time with their children that they bought into the world.

lobster12 · 21/02/2021 12:07

I am quite enjoying the lockdown and hope it lasts for a couple months more. It's a great excuse to not see my insufferable in laws.

mopphead · 21/02/2021 12:09

@CatsNotDogs

Oh also... a woman should NOT ask a man out. If he wants you you'll know.
Ok, I'll bite. Why on earth not? I'm not a piece of furniture or a tasty little pie for a man to 'want' while I lay idly back and wait. If I want to date someone, what is the problem with me asking?

The Ross comment is just offensive, WHAT is there to like? I was shouting STAY ON THAT PLANE WOMAN Grin

wewillmeetagain · 21/02/2021 12:09

@Okokokbear you seem to be a very angry person, who doesn't like people having a different opinion to you!

MsMiaWallace · 21/02/2021 12:10

Obesity IS a lifestyle choice.

Key workers should have been first to have Covid vaccinations.

Alcoholic's are far harder to work with than drug/substance mis users.

Inextremis · 21/02/2021 12:13

Lentils are lovely
Brussels are brilliant
Avocado is awful

goldielockdown2 · 21/02/2021 12:34

What more evidence could anyone need that Caroline Flack had mental health issues when she took her own life? She's not the best example to use to try and argue your point, wewill

What evidence do you have that obesity is a lifestyle choice?
Maverickess · 21/02/2021 12:40

Horse riding is weird and horsey people always look like horses.

I say neigh to that! Horses are far more graceful, attractive and beautiful than I could ever hope to be 😂

Okokokbear · 21/02/2021 12:42

I'm angry when people talk total uninformed, discriminatory shit about health conditions. But yeah there's nothing worse than an angry woman. This accusation just makes you sound like a calm down dear internalised misogynist. How sad.

People like you are why people with mental health conditions have poor health outcomes across the board. All I can hope is you experience anxiety and no one gives a fuck or believes you. Then you might reflect on how awful your views are.

likeamillpond · 21/02/2021 12:43

Can I hijack your thread to ask?
Does anybody now where I can find the thread about useless items people have bought during lockdiwn?
I can't find it anywhere. Confused

Joeblack066 · 21/02/2021 12:45

@DuchessofHastings1

I hate coffee. I think river island bags are shit and aren't worth the money. I hate them fluffy slip on sandals. Mrs Browns Boys is funny as aids. I like Harry and Meghan and haven't done anything wrong to get this much hate.
You really wrote that? Really? As a comparative you used a disease that killed millions of people to demonstrate that you dislike a TV show? Sheesh.
ooohbriefcase · 21/02/2021 12:49

@wewillmeetagain I thought that.

@Okokokbear you literally put,

"These threads are full of really basic banal people who think their either really common boring or bigoted views are unpopular but actually really common."

So complained about the thread and opinions on it, and then complained some more when someone picked on yours 😂

"TheVolturi
@okokobear really, having children? 😂 Everyone who has children is boring and basic, OK!
So people can say whatever shit they fancy regardless of how offensive it is but I get pulled up on mine? Maybe these threads are actually a terrible idea? Who would have thought?"

wewillmeetagain · 21/02/2021 12:49

@Okokokbear i have suffered with it at times and i do believe it exists. However i do also believe its a widely used excuse for people to use to get out of situations they don't want to be in. I think maybe you should be more angry with people that do this because they are the ones causing people with genuine mental health problems to be not listened to. Your angry bitter way of approaching this is also guaranteed to turn people off rather than getting them to understand your perspective.

Miljea · 21/02/2021 12:51

My fatness is pretty much a lifestyle choice, yes. I'm lazy and I like wine too much.

And there's a gulf of difference between 'feeling anxious' and suffering an anxiety disorder.

Ok love. It's totally normal behaviour to pick through people's posts to create evidence for an argument against them. U OK hun?
That's fucking nuts.

But yeah keep on the angry woman narrative if you fancy. I'd rather be angry than a bully

Puddymuddle · 21/02/2021 12:56

Ketchup ruins a bacon sandwich

Chocolatecake29 · 21/02/2021 12:58

The fatphobia on MN, and society in general, is vile.

Living off a tiny lettuce leaf and half a grilled chicken breast like some posters do to maintain a low weight is sad. What a miserable way to live.
(I'm saying this as someone who is slim)

Coffee is overrated.

Aldi has gone rubbish recently.
