What is the age gap between you and your partner?

Had a conversation with a friend about how age gaps seem far more rare these days, compared to in the past. People mainly seem to be marrying people within a couple of years of their age. Purely anecdotal. Just made me curious!

Dp is 10.5 years older. I'll never go younger than me.

He's the older one, I'm enjoying the six months of telling him he's nearly forty and I'm still mid thirties

I'm a grandma and to my recollection it wasn't common "back in the day" to marry older people at all. We all seemed to marry people in the same age group , maybe 1 or 2 years apart, that's all. I don't think any of my friends married out of that age range.

@starrynight21 really?! That' just seems mad to me, only because medically girls mature before boys.. my soon to be husband is ...14 years older than me. I'm thirty one and we've been together 13 years

He is 9 years older than me, been together 11 years this year. I was very young when we got together

Dh was nearly still a teenager when we met. 😬

4 months. Married to the person from same age is great, I'm foreign, so grew up in totally different circumstances/environment, but we have so much in common like which song was popular, what film we watched at age of xx, etc.

Dh turns 50 in a couple of years I’m taking great delight in reminding him for about 5 months he’ll be married to someone in their 30’s I did the same when he turned 40 and I was still in my 20’s

My DP is 13 years my junior 😝
