I've had a rubbish few weeks (hasn't everyone?!) So today I decided to do something relaxing whilst ds2 was napping. I drew this for my sister's birthday and will probably make it into a card. I haven't drawn in a long time and no longer have my usual art supplies so had to use ds1 crayons Grin
Come and show me something that you're proud of, I'd love to see it or hear about it!
@Cocolapew you’ve inspired me - I’ve dug out a few of my papercuts from a drawer and going to paint some frames in my loft :) Never do get around to framing things and hanging them! I have loads more hiding somewhere but not many frames
Wow! Edward scissorhands!

@HerRoyalNotness

What a wonderful thread!

This could be better but it had sat in the cupboard for 2 years at least as I’d run out of wool and had to order another skein but then didn’t finish it. So I got around to it last month. There are mistakes, but I can live with it

That's beautiful dream catcher. So glad you finished it. It definitely deserves to be on display! For youFlowers

@GoodQueenAlysanne

I can't post, because it would clearly be outing, but my driving licence (I passed last year, between lockdowns). Hardest thing I've ever done, but totally worth it.
Hooray for you! Passing my driving test is one of the hardest things I've ever done! You deserve a bunch of these Flowers

There's something very lovely about this thread isn't there.

TheNationsFavourite · 20/02/2021 09:02

please can you PM me about your postal brownies?

Will do.

Made these babies last night, DH is managing some additional clinics for breast screening so he's taken them in for tea break!

Come and show me something you're proud of...

@FollowingFlitwick

It was embarrassingly easy. Hot glue gun, bag of artificial flowers and a wreath base, all from Amazon. Took me an hour.

Illstartexercisingtomorrow · 20/02/2021 09:59

Well I can’t show you but I did start exercising again after injury. 4 weeks ago I thought I’d never run. Now I think I’ll get there in about another 4 weeks.

My cardio fitness is great. Last resting pulse was 65. still not sure if the machine got it wrong

Cocolapew · 20/02/2021 10:34

@peachgreen that is something to be proud off Flowers
They look great @SinkGirl

immisceo · 20/02/2021 11:51

@peachgreen

I have put my daughter to bed every night since my DH died, no matter how utterly shite I've been feeling. Even the night of his funeral. I've kept consistency for her in that way and I am so fucking proud of myself.
My father died with I was very young. I appreciate now how exhausted and overwhelmed my mother must have been, but at the time all I felt was safe and loved. Motherly strength is astounding, undervalued, and and worthy of every bit of pride you feel.
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/02/2021 11:57

PeachGreen - I'm so very. very sorry.

So you should be, that's a massive achievement. This thread is for all achievements not just creative ones.
peachgreen · 20/02/2021 14:53

Thank you all Flowers I didn't want to bring the thread down! But I'm very grateful to you all for being so kind.

@immisceo I'm so sorry about your dad and so glad your mum was able to help you feel safe and loved. That's all I want for DD.

FollowingFlitwick · 23/02/2021 06:24

@LunaNorth wow, so simple but so effective! I love the colour combination, reminds me of spring and new beginnings.

I can't show this but I had an email asking me to join a committee for some voluntary work I do. I struggle to say no and felt guilty so nearly said yes but emailed back expressing my interest in the cause but clearly saying why I was unable to commit to it and do it justice. I had a reply back from the man who asked me saying he understood why I couldn't join and wishing me all the best.

I can't remember the last time I said no.

FuckyouBrennan · 26/02/2021 12:57

@heatherhoneys that’s brilliant well done you! I am the same as you.

I can’t show mine either but I’ve raised over £1,100 for the National Autistic Society in the last 4 weeks. I’m extremely proud

Well done, I really struggle to say no, and need to learn to say it more often.
heatherhoneys · 26/02/2021 13:34

@FuckyouBrennan that's amazing, well done.
