I've had a rubbish few weeks (hasn't everyone?!) So today I decided to do something relaxing whilst ds2 was napping. I drew this for my sister's birthday and will probably make it into a card. I haven't drawn in a long time and no longer have my usual art supplies so had to use ds1 crayons Grin
Come and show me something that you're proud of, I'd love to see it or hear about it!

That’s fab juliet I love the colour!
Fireplace looks gorgeous coco
Frosty that’s really clever!

I did another hand drawing the other day when I felt really bad which helped a bit although the actual drawing wasn’t great. I’m proud of some little drawings I’ve been doing - I set myself a challenge to draw in a little square each day of February and although the drawings are a bit crap (I am trying to get used to using coloured pencils when I’m more comfortable with fine liner pen) I’m really proud I’ve actually stuck to it and never missed a day.

Thanks, its F&B tester pot in Arsenic. I can't afford to do my living room in it so paint my furniture instead Grin

About 3 years ago, DH and I started a monthly supper club at home, which I'm really proud of, as I drive it the overall process, though we share the cooking.

We both have other jobs but are very sociable and love cooking for others. We did our food safety courses, got a 5* hygiene rating from the council and got cracking.

We have 8 diners (pre lockdown) often four couples that don't know each other, they sit at one big table, and we serve 6 courses, everything made from scratch by us.

It's such a sociable fun thing to do, we make a bit of pocket money, and we have really extended our repertoire and confidence.

I get such a buzz when I hear all the laughter and chat, from the kitchen, and all the plates come back empty. I'm doing some postal brownies during the lock down and we do occasional deliveries but can't wait till we can open again!

I love your fire place Juliet

I'm now looking at my lounge which was green ten years ago but has faded a lot and thinking how can I brighten this up. It's too bland, I love bright colours but when we moved house we didn't have the money to repaint it.

Finished this cross-stitch. It sat in a cupboard for over 10 years and I finally started it last September.

Come and show me something you're proud of...
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/02/2021 21:02

That's beautiful, Mac.

MacDuffsMuff · 19/02/2021 21:45

Thank you @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie it was a bit of a labour of love but I've become very fond of her.

SingToTheSky · 19/02/2021 21:51

Time those look so yum!

I know it’s mostly been creative stuff on here (including me!) but can I get a YAY/whoop whoop/cheer of choice please - I just filled in a form that I have been putting off. It’s for a volunteer role supporting families with newly diagnosed autistic kids, so I’ll be proud to actually do it, but hell I am MEGA proud I actually did the form tonight, and haven’t let the opportunity pass me by out of fear I won’t be good enough! I’m so bloody risk averse and have crap self esteem and have just watched life pass me by for years. Not any more. ✊

cabbagedpickles · 19/02/2021 22:00

Well done Sing We can be proud of lots of things not just creative things.

cabbagedpickles · 19/02/2021 22:01

Christ on the bike that sounds patronising - I didn't mean it to Sing - sorry.

SingToTheSky · 19/02/2021 22:05

I didn’t find it patronising at all cabbaged! Thank you 😀

Sarahlou63 · 19/02/2021 22:06

LunaNorth · 19/02/2021 22:21

Oh I love this thread! Lots of lovely creations Star

LunaNorth · 19/02/2021 22:39

Thank you! I’m really chuffed with it. My hot glue gun is my new favourite thing!

SinkGirl · 19/02/2021 23:18

@Cocolapew you’ve inspired me - I’ve dug out a few of my papercuts from a drawer and going to paint some frames in my loft :) Never do get around to framing things and hanging them! I have loads more hiding somewhere but not many frames

@Gooseygoosey12345

Ooh I love this thread Grin I made a unit for the space between the end of my bath and the wall. And I crocheted DH some ninja turtles which I apparently don't have a picture of!
Yes to the DIY! That sounds so handy, I would love to have the skills to be a DIY goddess! Gotta love those ninja turtles! Have a bunch of these Flowers

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

Thanks, Flitwick. I'd guess they take about 45 minutes each, sometimes a bit quicker if I don't do anything wrong!
Remus, what a sense of achievement for 45 minutes work!

I have put my daughter to bed every night since my DH died, no matter how utterly shite I've been feeling. Even the night of his funeral. I've kept consistency for her in that way and I am so fucking proud of myself.

peachgreen · 20/02/2021 00:28

Oh no, I've just read the thread and realised I'm very much not in the right vein here! Unfortunately I have nothing creative to show off so hopefully you'll forgive me!

FollowingFlitwick · 20/02/2021 00:29

@LongPauseNoAnswer

I can’t show you physically but I’m proud of my business. I started it with €100 and now 3 years later is unbelievably successful, so much so I could retire today and never think about money again.

Lovely thread Smile

Yes to your entrepreneurial spirit and so much success after such a short amount of time! Hats off to you! Love that you have worked so hard that you could retire happily, such a sense of security Flowers

@TwoZeroTwoZero

I'm not going to post them but I am proud of some of my photos. I made a little book with a few and they came out really nice. Even my mam likes them!
That's great! I'm proud of you Flowers
