I've had a rubbish few weeks (hasn't everyone?!) So today I decided to do something relaxing whilst ds2 was napping. I drew this for my sister's birthday and will probably make it into a card. I haven't drawn in a long time and no longer have my usual art supplies so had to use ds1 crayons Grin
Come and show me something that you're proud of, I'd love to see it or hear about it!

@JulietMadeChutney

I love this thread. I started drawing in lockdown (last July) having believed I was in the "Cannot Draw For Toffee" camp. I now have a shop on Etsy, 1 commission done and 4 more waiting to be done. I drew this today - I first drew buildings/townscape about 10 days ago. I am super pleased with it.
Wow! This is great! What a success Flowers

@SinkGirl

I am designing crochet patterns for my business. When my twins were babies I made them a couple of bunnies and I’ve gradually developed the patterns to make them a bit classier!

So far I’ve got three bunnies, a rainbow music box and a vibrating rainbow toy... just need them to go to school now so I can take photos of the process and get the patterns written up! At the moment my shop only sells papercutting templates and I’m also working on loads of new designs for those to work on when they are back at school.

Did I mention I really need my twins to go back to school? 😬

@SinkGirl, those bunnies [love] and the fact that you find time to e that creative, sell your art and you have twins?! Amazing Flowers

@Cattermole

I'm knitting a jumper for the Junior Engineer (which is very thick and blanket-like and which I have just finished the second sleeve of, now for the body!) Painted the landing yesterday, and today we made one of those Cube storage things for his bedroom. Because we flooded (and on a daily basis more or less) throughout December, we are at the joyful stage of having insurance money to replace things...
Ooh, the jumper sounds lovely! Nothing like a nice toasty jumper on a cold winters day. Sorry to hear you're homes been flooded. Hope it's all sorted Flowers

Flowers it absolutely is in the right vein, I'm so proud of you! What an amazing thing to do to keep the consistency for your daughter and what strength to keep things together at such a difficult time. She will so appreciate it in the long run. I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you're ok and sending you a massive hug Flowers

@Mylittlesandwich

I won't post a picture but I fixed my favourite bra. The underwire had started to escape and stab me in the boob so I patched and stitched it and it's good as new again.
I always get a little pang of sadness when that happens to a favourite bra (and a pang of pain from the stab in my boob but that's by the by!) Flowers for your resourcefulness and creativity
@JulietMadeChutney yes but not sure if I'm allowed to post it here, I'll message you😊
Could you message me your page details as well please? I would love to buy some of these Smile

FollowingFlitwick · 20/02/2021 00:48

For those of you who are selling their creations there is a huge group on Facebook (100k + members) for people who are selling their art etc. Lots of people gained a lot of work from it, especially over the Christmas period. I am happy to private message the name of the group to anyone who is interested (not sure if would be allowed to say here!)

What a lovely thread! I am proud that I drew this Valentine’s card for DH, considering I literally never do any art, ever. But I’m pleased with how it turned out!

Love everything on this thread - well done everyone!

What beautiful hearts, what an achievement! How did your husband react? Have these Flowers

What a wonderful thread!

This could be better but it had sat in the cupboard for 2 years at least as I’d run out of wool and had to order another skein but then didn’t finish it. So I got around to it last month. There are mistakes, but I can live with it

Come and show me something you're proud of...
GoodQueenAlysanne · 20/02/2021 01:29

I can't post, because it would clearly be outing, but my driving licence (I passed last year, between lockdowns). Hardest thing I've ever done, but totally worth it.

GoodQueenAlysanne · 20/02/2021 01:32

So much cool creative stuff here!

@MacDuffsMuff that is gorgeous Star

@Yucca77

I've started branching out and trying different mediums with my art.

@julietMadeChutney love your work! Great that you've made Etsy work for you too. I find it quite hard work to get to the top of the listings. Do you do prints on demand of your art or do a big batch of printing to sell? I've struggled to find cost effective printers as well!

What a lovely cat! Flowers

Not going to lie, this is what I’m proud of today 🙈 I CAN SEE THE BOTTOM OF THE WASHING BASKET! 🎉🎉🎉
Yes!!! Quite honestly, this gives me so much joy. I can't remember the last time I saw the bottom of mine. Time to crack open the Wine and Flowers for you!

@Withershins

I am proud of my fused glass work, it has been the thing I have for myself. We are foster carers and a military family so time to ourselves is limited, this is what keeps me sane, I have especially enjoyed making the rainbows this past 12 months. I have sold a fair few in different shapes and sizes and have just loved how symbolic they are right now, most people who bought them asked me to send to friends and family directly, as a way of sending love. It pleases me to see my work used in that way.
This is lovely. There's so much to be said for how much our hobbies keep our heads healthy alongside our hearts. Beautiful crafts, for you Flowers

@frostymornings

I've set up a little business making and selling hand painted dot art. I'm never going to make my fortunes from it but I'm so proud of what I've achieved. I have anxiety and I'm not very good at promoting myself but I still seem to get orders through and people seem to like my work which is lovely. So yes, I am proud of my dot art work!
I'm glad you were able to post the pictures! I love dot work and your designs are great. I've always wanted to give it a go, is it hard? (I just don't see how I could make it look so neat!) Have a bunch of these Flowers

@Cocolapew

Not as impressive as everyone elses but I've spent the last few days painting cheap frames and making a "Wall of Tat™" © DH 😆
Haha! That made me laugh, it looks great! What a fab focal point for the room. You need a bunch of these Flowers

@immisceo

Whenever I tell people I 'started spinning' in 2018, nine out of ten times they think I mean something to do with a stationary bicycle. 10% of people know me better than that...
Amazing! I'm getting serious sleeping beauty vibes right now! Those yarn colours are beautiful...I've always wondered about the process for variegated yarn. These are for you Flowers and a bunch for the cute cat, too Flowers

@TheNationsFavourite

About 3 years ago, DH and I started a monthly supper club at home, which I'm really proud of, as I drive it the overall process, though we share the cooking.

We both have other jobs but are very sociable and love cooking for others. We did our food safety courses, got a 5* hygiene rating from the council and got cracking.

We have 8 diners (pre lockdown) often four couples that don't know each other, they sit at one big table, and we serve 6 courses, everything made from scratch by us.

It's such a sociable fun thing to do, we make a bit of pocket money, and we have really extended our repertoire and confidence.

I get such a buzz when I hear all the laughter and chat, from the kitchen, and all the plates come back empty. I'm doing some postal brownies during the lock down and we do occasional deliveries but can't wait till we can open again!

What an amazing idea! I'm so glad it's been so successful. Here's hoping lockdown ends soon so you can get back to it. That pavlova looks amazing, it all looks amazing...oh man, I've been on a diet and doing pretty well and this has really turned my head. Flowers for you and Wine for me (please can you PM me about your postal brownies?)

Finished this cross-stitch. It sat in a cupboard for over 10 years and I finally started it last September.

@SingToTheSky

Time those look so yum!

I know it’s mostly been creative stuff on here (including me!) but can I get a YAY/whoop whoop/cheer of choice please - I just filled in a form that I have been putting off. It’s for a volunteer role supporting families with newly diagnosed autistic kids, so I’ll be proud to actually do it, but hell I am MEGA proud I actually did the form tonight, and haven’t let the opportunity pass me by out of fear I won’t be good enough! I’m so bloody risk averse and have crap self esteem and have just watched life pass me by for years. Not any more. ✊

Amazing! Have a high five! What a lovely thing to do. @SingToTheSky, I'm so proud of you. It takes incredible strength to look at our lives and change course when we think we need to. You are amazing and these are for you Flowers
