I've had a rubbish few weeks (hasn't everyone?!) So today I decided to do something relaxing whilst ds2 was napping. I drew this for my sister's birthday and will probably make it into a card. I haven't drawn in a long time and no longer have my usual art supplies so had to use ds1 crayons Grin
Come and show me something that you're proud of, I'd love to see it or hear about it!

@FollowingFlitwick thanks, it's fantasy (the not very good dragon eye at the bottom gives it away, lol)
@Mumofstanley well done for taking the plunge, you're very brave. I completely ballsed up the end of my education (borderline drop out) and intend to go back when my youngest is in school. It does quietly terrify me though.

Oh wow. All of you talented women!!!

@ScottishStottie that blows my mind!!

The climaxing is also pretty incredible @Karen138 . I salute you!

Xerochrysum · 13/02/2021 07:21

@GlumyGloomer, that looks fab, I'd love to read them!

MermaidDreams83 · 13/02/2021 08:45

I've started painting, not the best but I find it so therapeutic excuse the dead plant 😂

@FollowingFlitwick thanks so much, also I'd be super proud if I could get my child to sleep through. Go you! 🙏

LunaNorth · 13/02/2021 10:06

I was always crap at art at school, but I’ve taken to doodling and have occasionally surprised myself.

Haha, I should imagine him sleeping that long was a fluke so I will try not to get too cocky about it!

@LunaNorth what fabulous doodles! I didn't find art lessons particularly stimulating at school and find I'm much more creative without classroom restraints.
The last one would make a beautiful christmas card.

13yr old DD has used lockdown to work on her art skills and had made huge improvements. These two are sketched using colouring pencils.

Wow @ShowOfHands that’s awesome!! So much talent on this thread.

I am proud of DS2 (age 3) writing his name near than his 5 yo brother could - although I have yet to see it myself yet as it was done at nursery, so I don’t fully believe them!

I would post some of my art which I’m proud of but it’s in IG too and am paranoid I’ll be outed. Took up art in Lockdown 1 and loving it. Also re-started singing lessons last year which are on hold at the mo but I am proud of my singing voice too 😄

Also I’m proud of DS1’s awesome sport skills :) struggling with homeschooling but he is still flourishing at sport (when I can get him away from a screen!!)

Xerochrysum · 13/02/2021 18:52

@ShowOfHands Wow, absolutely amazing. Such a talented 13 yrs old!

FollowingFlitwick · 14/02/2021 08:14

@PolarnoPirate ooh, a vocalist! What type of music do you enjoy singing? Lovely news about your DC! I love it when our little ones give us something to be proud of and seeing how proud they are of themselves too.

PolarnOPirate · 14/02/2021 08:54

@FollowingFlitwick everything! Started off classical/opera and did my grade 8 with more musicals and modern type stuff. Then I left school and did more gospel stuff. Then barely sang for about 5 years!

PolarnOPirate · 14/02/2021 08:55

But my lessons now are a mix of classical and musicals 😊

35andThriving · 14/02/2021 22:07

I have nothing to add myself, but this is such a lovely thread. Smile

Huggabugga · 14/02/2021 22:19

I bought this, in the reduced section of Morrisons around 3 years ago. Back then it only had one stalk and all the flowers on it had fallen off.
Since then it's grown 4 more stalks and the past few weeks it's grown several buds on all of the stalks. I'm so proud and pleased. I can't wait for it to bloom.

I love seeing everyone's acheivements on this thread! I painted a card for my mum for mother's day - so satisfying and fulfilling!

Oh wow, so many amazing artists! I so wish I could draw.
I can’t so I stick to cross stitching instead! This is my latest cross stitch finish and the biggest thing I've ever stitched.

Come and show me something you're proud of...
StitchingGirl · 15/02/2021 07:26

@ScottishStottie

Working on my current cross stitch and from starting in the middle, finally reached my first corner!

By far the biggest project ive ever done, and only a quarter of the way through, but oretty proud of it so far!

Is that Pandemic? I have this but haven’t started as can’t decide on a colour! Yours looks beautiful.
