Where have you been in last three months?

Just wondered what others have left their local area for in the last few weeks. It hit me the other day, that other than all three of us travelling to our local town three miles away for work and I've done a couple of click and collects, none have us have left our village. The only exception is me as I unexpectedly found out I could get a covid jab through work, and had to drive ten miles away - I made the most of my trip out and came back the country way - I didn't rush and really enjoyed the scenery.

The furthest we've been is about 6 miles by bike.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 01/02/2021 15:54

I late November I drove an hour down the motorway, swapped Christmas presents with my brother in a service station car park without going near him, and drove home.

In December we took the children to an outdoor Christmas event.

Apart from that, the furthest I've been is Asda.

the front room, the kitchen, bathroom , our bedroom, and once a fortnight two miles down the road to Aldi furloughed from both of my jobs, and weather to cold at this time of year to even go for a short blast ride with OH on the motorbike

BikeRunSki · 01/02/2021 15:56

Home
Village shops
Local walks
Very occassionaly, work. Construction site, 35 miles away.

Ikora · 01/02/2021 15:59

I walk from my front door for up to an hour most days. We do click and collect for food shopping once a week and it’s a mile away.

ChocOrange1 · 01/02/2021 16:06

Mainly:

  • our local arboretum (about 2 miles away) for walks
  • asda
  • aldi
  • my parents house (support bubble)
  • various parks and bits of woods within 10 miles or so for walks
  • I went to the pub in mid December (tier 2)
  • I went to a craft centre in early December to make Christmas decs with my baby's footprints, and also visited their cafe
Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 01/02/2021 16:08

The beach once about 8 miles from me, and that was on Saturday.
The supermarkets a couple of times in the next town over, because we only have a small sainsburys which can get expensive, but they have just opened a new supermarket. My mums for christmas and new year Dinner with just her, 4 of us and my brother who lives with her. Also 3 midwife appointments and one scan.

Timeforabiscuit · 01/02/2021 16:11

No further than 2 square miles - and I now can't start my car (flat battery) Sad

Petitmum · 01/02/2021 16:12

I have stayed within a few miles of home other than driving from South Wales to Oxford for a family funeral.

TheChip · 01/02/2021 16:13

To the field outside of my house with the dogs. I walk around it. Sometimes I go to the field to the right of my house for a bit of a change up.
Exciting shit.

bluebellation · 01/02/2021 16:14

I've had to take DH to a couple of hospital appointments about 30 miles away (and sit in the car for hours waiting for him as nothing else was open). Other than that, our local town for shopping once a week.

Since 1st November - 20 miles to visit family a handful of times. Otherwise, just within a couple of miles of our house.

mbosnz · 01/02/2021 16:15

Asda, Waitrose, and Tesco. Oh, and Marks and Sparks and John Lewis, to one pub, and Cote.

actiongirl1978 · 01/02/2021 16:16

DD school is 25 miles away so collected her one day a week. Also been across counties to collect a puppy before xmas.

Been to another county in December to walk with parents.

Been to work in the local school.

Took DD to London for a show before Xmas when they opened briefly.

Been to three local towns for shopping/different school run.

Lots of places.

Poor DH hasn't been further than the study downstairs 😂

actiongirl1978 · 01/02/2021 16:16

Obviously I haven't done any of this in January... It was all Nov and Dec

SpiderGwen · 01/02/2021 16:16

80 miles in early December to collect son from university. Since then, the furthest has been 8 miles to the Covid test centre, and 5 miles circular journey to do the recycling, collect medication and a click and collect grocery slot.

Most days I rarely leave the house/garden.

AnneElliott · 01/02/2021 16:16

Today I drove 35 miles to go to a funeral. That's the longest distance I've been on since October.

Theunamedcat · 01/02/2021 16:17

Home except once when we travelled to BCH

BerniesMittens · 01/02/2021 16:17

5-minute drive to the post office. Haven't been in a shop since last March, about a week before lockdown.

TheGonnagle · 01/02/2021 16:18

Bins
Garden
Kitchen
Bed
Sofa
Doctors for vaccination 👍

Fun times shielding

Kottbullar · 01/02/2021 16:18

DH has been all over the place for work. The children and I haven't been further than we can walk.

iVampire · 01/02/2021 16:19

No where beyond walking/running distance of where I live.

The only place I have been indoors (other than my own home) is the clinic where my regular monitoring takes place and the vaccine hub.

CakeIsMyFavouriteAndBest · 01/02/2021 16:19

To the nearest town as I work there part time and it has massive parks with lakes to walk around. Also has drive through mcdonalds for the kids. Otherwise just our village.
And not even making it outside everyday as hubby walks the dog whilst I homeschool and I find i haven't been anywhere till I go to work again. Off for a hospital appointment tomorrow 10 minutes drive away, feels like a day out.

Absy · 01/02/2021 16:19

I went nuts and went to the hospital which is in a different area of London. It was wild. I’m going there again tomorrow. What should I pack? Bikini and caftan?
