Where have you been in last three months?

Just wondered what others have left their local area for in the last few weeks. It hit me the other day, that other than all three of us travelling to our local town three miles away for work and I've done a couple of click and collects, none have us have left our village. The only exception is me as I unexpectedly found out I could get a covid jab through work, and had to drive ten miles away - I made the most of my trip out and came back the country way - I didn't rush and really enjoyed the scenery.

Been to local city for supermarket and hospital appointment. About 10-12 miles away.

Try to stick to local shops but range/stock limited and prices high. Not been out for anything recreational beyond 5 miles but in our rural area that’s just a village or two over.

Apart from the school runs, socially distanced chat in a park and a hospital appointment in December, the furthest I've been in months was a 40 minute drive to be vaccinated.

We have been to quite a few places, especially in November as we're in London which was in Tier 2 back then. Stayed in London but we were able to visit places like London Zoo, Hyde Park, National Trust parks, Kew Gardens, soft play, toddler classes, Regent Street lights, Southbank, Natural History Museum, Thames Path walks. We also visited a couple of Santa Grottos and theatre shows before moving into Tier 4 as well. In the past month we have been travelling for exercise under the rules to different parks like all the royal parks and Hampstead Heath and nature reserves like Walthamstow Wetlands. I do the nursery run one mile away 3 days a week, and attend hospital appointments about 3 miles away. I don't do any shopping in person - everything online.

December was good (tier 2). We drove to 2 outdoor Christmas events in another tier 2 area (all cancelled in October where we are). I went Christmas shopping once with dd (3 shops). Work- 3 different locations, daytime so could enjoy the drive. Walked the dc to school (early December only, then bubbles burst).
Since then: dog walks from my front door daily. Supermarket once a week. Work- 1 location 30 miles away, at night so no scenery.

100 miles to my parents (support bubble) on three occasions.

35 miles to work a couple of times a week before Christmas but not at all in this lockdown.

5 miles to meet a friend for a walk once a fortnight on average.

5 miles to meet 3 friends for socially distanced take away coffee when permitted before Chrstmas.

A tour of the local area dropping off Christmas presents and cards.

Occasional 5 mile trips to drop food supplies off from my online order to shielding friends.

I have been to take some photos of night scenery a few times over the last few months. Not far from home but not really in my local area.

We moved house and due to a cock up with the removals had to click and collect a new mattress for one of the DC's beds from Ikea. About eight miles away. That was it.

Work, home, work, home, work, home, work. Might even throw a trip to the supermarket too. Local surgery to get my covid jab.

Apart from going to my mam's house on Christmas day for lunch, I hadn't left the house for months.
Today is day 11 for me and no4 son in hospital though. He has been very ill, and we have no idea how long we will be here.
Silver lining, I have lost well over a stone cos they don't feed parents, we're over an hour from home so no visits from DH more than once a week, and the shop costs a bomb so I am, in effect, on a strict diet of pot noodle.
