How to share custody of 6 month old breastfed baby

Hi I'm going through a breakup and my ex says he wants to have our 6 month old baby every weekend (2 days and 2 nights). Our baby is exclusively breast fed although has just started weaning. I am baby's main carer and she wakes a few times a night to be fed/comforted. My ex doesn't seem bothered about the breastfeeding and keeps threatening to give formula. I don't want to be unreasonable but I feel that she is too young to be away from me for such a long period of time each week. I would also have to give up breastfeeding I guess. Also once we break up there will be 2 hours between us which means baby will be going up and down the motorway each week for a total of 4 hours. And advice would be much appreciated!

Rights of Women give free legal advice @Roxy1988.

I know that you've said that you are going to arty know as you are for now, but I would talk to Rights of Women when he's next out if the house.

Do you have a job currently? If not, it might be worth looking at getting one so that you're not so vulnerable.

My baby is 7 months and ebf whilst weaning. Tell your ex to fuck off. The reality is he won't want full time care as he's proposed even if you offer it. He's playing a mind game.

Flat is in your name, you get to stay there. Please get some legal advice, you sound like you’ve been completely taken the piss out of. He’s an arse if he thinks it’s his flat-in your name! Idiot. Get advice.

Do NOT leave the flat! And he is absolutely not a good father if he cant understand why your babys needs are more important than his wants. My DD is 2, night weaned and I still wouldn't allow overnights yet if me and DH were to split up, not a chance! Unless he is doing 50% of childcare overnight and your DD is just as happy with a bottle as the breast then he can visit her with you there or take her out for 1-2h max. If he doesn't accept that he's a shit, selfish father and I wouldnt give him an inch
