@Bagelsandbrie same here, we have a drawer in the kitchen for toothbrushes and paste, much better than all the germs flying up from the toilet (MIL will not put the seat down!🤢)
Kindred spirits! Grin

We don't have any tvs.
I was never one for watching a lot of tv, so when the Ariel fell off from the roof years ago, never bother replacing it.
I have a small tablet, teenage sons have computer monitors with access to Netflix etc ,
I have said to sons 're getting a smart tv etc, they are not interested, and I don't miss it.

I have a wildflower garden. None of the neighbours listen when I tell them about the birds and bees. They really object to it (the garden not the environmental lectures).

I don't want help weeding my garden, I don't want weed killer sprayed over it. It was fantastic a few years ago and several environmentalists visited to examine the species diversity.

A regular job in our house is sloth redistribution. Our dog is obsessed with cuddly toys and for reasons too ridiculous to repeat, we have got ourselves into a situation where he collects sloths. He has to have a teddy to carry with him on all significant occasions, such as getting up in the morning or going to his food bowl, which means that we accumulate piles of stuffed sloths in the kitchen and on his downstairs bed and periodically have to sneak half a dozen or so back upstairs when he's not looking (if he sees you trying to take them upstairs he will mug you and bring as many as he can carry back down).

HaHaVeryBunny · 28/01/2021 18:15

No clock, No TV.
Have all we need. Parents embarrassing more so than kids

HavelockVetinari · 28/01/2021 18:17

@WomenAreBornNotWorn

We have a house hen. She is sat on my lap right now in front of the fire. She's beautiful.
WTF???

How on earth do you train a hen not to shite everywhere?? Shock

WomenAreBornNotWorn · 28/01/2021 18:19

She has a nappy! Its washable with inserts and everything Grin

santabetterwashhishands · 28/01/2021 18:20

Pecs symbols everywhere 😂

Flowerythoughts · 28/01/2021 18:20

@WomenAreBornNotWorn can you post a pic of your hen on your lap so we can see her?

The bunny on the bed, no different from my cat sleeping with me I suppose.

I feel odd about people spitting (teeth brushing) in the kitchen sink. Comes from working in catering so many years I suppose.
I’m sure there are plenty of things I do that people would think odd though so, each to their own.

EarringsandLipstick · 28/01/2021 18:21

I think that's sweet. Not really any different to a cat sleeping on the bed (I usually have at least one cat with me every night)!

Tbf, I'd hate this too (it's not confined to bunnies!)

EarringsandLipstick · 28/01/2021 18:22

our shorter friends are always a bit shocked as they can’t reach to hang up their coats

That's hilarious! I'm 5'3", I can't imagine me vainly leaping to try & reach!

Pumpkintopf · 28/01/2021 18:23

Spiderlight love that!

Flowerythoughts · 28/01/2021 18:23

@PandemicAtTheDisco that sounds amazing. Can you post a pic if not too outing?
I’m leaving an area of lawn & planting wildflowers for the bees this year.

We have got 3 studies at the moment!

80sMum · 28/01/2021 18:26

Nothing remotely weird about keeping bread in the freezer! Where else would you keep it?

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 28/01/2021 18:27

@MadameTuffington

My house bunny sleeps in bed with me - he is extremely clean and fully house trained - everyone I know finds it funny 🐇
I find it sweet too.
WomenAreBornNotWorn · 28/01/2021 18:27

Will have to look for one of her in her nappy.

Women that is just hilarious. 😂

Theforest · 28/01/2021 18:29

We have two large TVs in the lounge. Both kids play xbox. We only watch the newest one for TV.

EssentialHummus · 28/01/2021 18:32

There are always plastic bags, tins and egg cartons by the front door.

I run the local food bank and neighbours have taken to leaving donations on the doorstep for me to find.

SimonJT · 28/01/2021 18:32

We have an area of floor we don’t walk on as thats where we eat.

We have a bum gun on all of the toilets.

I have a wall length floor to ceiling bookcase with an attached ladder, the building my flat is in is an old industrial building so the bookcase was left in when the building was converted. I bought the ladder online really cheaply and fitted it myself, I have always been too scared to actually try using it. The shelves mainly display my collection of dust and animal hair.

All of our plug sockets are in the floor.

80sMum · 28/01/2021 18:33

I have 13 different types of flour in my larder!

Oh well, I’ll admit to being one of those weirdos who hates outdoor shoes being worn indoors. I have a no shoes policy but I don’t totally enforce it with visitors / work people. I do secretly feel 🤢 when people wear shoes on my carpet though. I also freeze bread, milk and grated cheese.
