That reminds me, Nitpickpicnic: speaking of "what's weird in other people's homes", I once did a holiday homeswap and found a wormery ... in the kitchen

Stupid, I know, but I have a horror of the things, and let's just say I ate out rather a lot that week Confused

BitOfFun · 28/01/2021 22:20

@ Grumpetvoluntary, thank you! I do know that I am very, very lucky Blush

Edgeoftheledge · 28/01/2021 22:21

My son doesnt sleep until at least midnight (was earlier pre-lockdown), hes autistic and 8.

GladysNarracott · 28/01/2021 22:22

A life size pirate skeleton on the wall in the study, complete with parrot.

TrimmedMyBush · 28/01/2021 22:23

We have a stage in our back garden.

TrimmedMyBush · 28/01/2021 22:24

@FortunesFave

We've got a stage in the back garden...it's a big garden and DH built it out of old pallets for DD's birthday two years ago because her mate's band played. Then we put the paddling pool on it in summer....now it's just there.

The dogs lie on it. We'll probably have another party so are keeping it for the band!

That’s so weird I just wrote that we had one! It was the previous owner rather than us though!

4 children Grin

Also freeze bread and milk. Bread in our town has had the next day use by for months. We learnt our lesson partly due to beast from the east, NO milk or bread or anything deliveries really. Lockdown one, no bread and only the tiny wee milk cartons.really

Still not learned the toilet roll lesson, thank fuck for awesome neighbours

My cats have their own room with cat designer wallpaper and their photos on display. Part of my livingroom is theirs with cat trees and shelves on the wall. It's their house as much as mine. I also have a no shoe policy.

BitOfFun · 28/01/2021 22:32

Ludo, I'd love to see a photo of that Grin.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/01/2021 22:32

I have loads of Cabbagepatch kids in my bedroom.

oakleaffy · 28/01/2021 22:35

@BitOfFun

Oh, I forgot the most unusual thing: a miniature replica of our house that DH made/built as a surprise for my Christmas present. I’m including a Diet Coke for scale Grin
That is astonishingly good! I thought it was an actual house. What is he, a set builder for films?
BeautifulandWilfulandDead · 28/01/2021 22:37

We recently moved into a house with an en-suite bathroom...which only locks from the outside Hmm

BitOfFun · 28/01/2021 22:38

@oakleaffy, no, he's an artist. He just thought that another painting would be boring Grin.

Eerie..UNLESS it is meant to stop someone breaking in through a window??

I'm seriously impressed!
I thought ''Why is someone showing a pic of their house with bin bags outside...I didn't even ''See'' the coke can.

It is amazingly realistic.

SuperHighway · 28/01/2021 22:42

We have a scaffold tower for changing light bulbs and dusting for cobwebs. Our ceilings are 13ft high.

Bungalowlady · 28/01/2021 22:43

My parents used to flush leftover cooked potatoes down the toilet 😂
I live in a bungalow ( hence my very imaginative username) but the storage cupboard in the hall has always been the under stairs cupboard Smile

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 28/01/2021 22:47

I WANT a death cupboard. And a sloth loving dog.

EarringsandLipstick · 28/01/2021 22:48

@BitOfFun

That's it! I'm on my way to your house, right now (just PM me your address). Treats & that amazing house!

margaritasbythesea · 28/01/2021 22:49

We eat tomato pulp on toast in the morning with olive oil, as do most of the people in Dh's country, Spain, do. And no one here.
My children still think this is amazing.

Spottysausagedogs · 28/01/2021 22:51

No locks on any internal doors including the bathroom, and keeping all internal doors propped open at all times, even in winter when there is a terrible ankle- height draught. Not my choice at all. Think my DH must have been raised in a barn. My DF would cheerfully throttle him if he lived with us 🤷🏼‍♀️

183fredamarleymum · 28/01/2021 22:51

Belladonna123 is your dog a labbie.Our chocolate labbie also adored cuddly toys. Not tried him with a sloth yet. He is having Sally st oat for his birthday next month.

BitOfFun · 28/01/2021 22:52

Earrings Grin. I'll put the kettle on!

movingonup20 · 28/01/2021 22:53

@BleepingBleepyBleeeep

Not weird at all in my line of work Grin

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/01/2021 22:53

There's nothing weird about that Margaritas
