Just that 🙂

I cut the slices in half last night so they are thinner, and spread the butter out so it covered every bit. It was lovely.

2-3 in that if there's 3 of us I will only buy 1, but if all 4 of us are eating I will buy 2 and it will all still get eaten.

apalledandshocked · 26/01/2021 16:19

2 if my son is around. 1 if I cook it when I am home alone (in simpler better times when that was a possibility). But I would always eat just half and then come back and eat the second half.

We never had garlic bread with pasta. The pasta you make is to be savoured on its own, not be drowned by the garlic bread. You're either destroying your palate or use some ready-made awful pasta sauces and then you could just eat the garlic bread on its own.
We like to use sourdough bread which we toast, then scrub a garlic clove over the toasted surface and spread some good salted butter on it. Delicious on its own, with some winter salad.

Brilliant, I hope that's a huge winter salad.

2 adults and a toddler, also have a 10 year old so have to do 2 and there's always left over

Shit, I've been using bad salted butter all this time. So stupid of me.

MolyHolyGuacamole · 26/01/2021 16:22

50 for a week. Any less is pure gluttony!

CouldItBeJeffrey · 26/01/2021 16:24

4 but that includes a 7yo with a tiny appetite and a 4yo. I'd happily eat one to myself with a mountain of pasta but I try not to.

doctorhamster · 26/01/2021 16:24

We share it equally between 4 of us.

SimonJT · 26/01/2021 16:26

1 adult

emmathedilemma · 26/01/2021 16:27

3

dootball · 26/01/2021 16:27

2 for 2 adults + 2 children

CleverCatty · 26/01/2021 16:28

3 if that many are there.

If I'm hungry and it's me I can probably eat it all...

LagneyandCasey · 26/01/2021 16:28

Carb police - you may want to sit down...

Last night we had lasagne, chips AND garlic bread Grin

DinosApple · 26/01/2021 16:29

1 garlic bread would do 2 in this house. Even my very fussy, bird like appetite eldest child (11) would happily eat a whole one on her own given the chance!

Macaroni cheese, salad and garlic bread... Hmmmm

HelloMissus · 26/01/2021 16:29

I can easily eat one to myself Grin

RubyandPearl · 26/01/2021 16:31

Gah! I was hoping for some competitive under-eating here but hardly any.

Nicely replaced by the food snobs though. Still chuckling at winter salad. I'm off to destroy my palate with some chocolate biscuits

MrsAvocet · 26/01/2021 16:32

Four.
2 adults and 2 teenage boys.

shitinmyhandsandclap · 26/01/2021 16:32

I love the ends! I hollow them out and stuff them with Bolognese

shitinmyhandsandclap · 26/01/2021 16:33

and then scoff them, obvs

Two! Mmmm, garlic bread.. and of course with pasta. It’s also really nice with chilli con carne..

thefelineofthespecies · 26/01/2021 16:36

I live alone. I grudgingly force myself to stretch 1 baguette over 2 meals.

Freshprincess · 26/01/2021 16:36

I only cook one and there’s 3 of us, so that many. One of mine isn’t that keen so only has a bit.

I’d imagine there would be loads leftover if I cooked two I’m a liar I’d scoff them

Caspianberg · 26/01/2021 16:37

People seem to eat like sparrows on here sometimes. I’m fairly short, and if anything a bit underweight atm. So I guess shouldn’t need huge calorie per day. But I seem to eat at least double what people suggest.

If I have a ‘winter salad’, that would def be with at least 1/2 garlic bread... plus chicken/ goat cheese, maybe extra croutons to double carb
