As a side with pasta dish.

Just that 🙂

I usually do two for DP, me and my two DC as the (skinny) DC (12 and 6) will easily eat an entire one on their own!

I always nab the middle bits, the ones with the most amount of garlic butter on each side 🐷🤣.

One DC will eat ALL the end pieces first (which is fine by everyone else). Weirdo.

Just curious as to how greedy we were 😂.

btw before the food police arrive!

Depends on the rest of the meal.
We can share it between 4. But will be happy with the extra if it's between 3 if DH is away.

Or sometimes between 2...
When I was breastfeeding... Just me for lunch.

YourHandInMyHand · 26/01/2021 15:39

Then one left so now it feeds 3. But we easily shared it between 4 of us.

Caspianberg · 26/01/2021 15:39

2 adults normally. Baby now started eating so he gets a piece too. So I guess 3 now..

Directionerforever · 26/01/2021 15:39
  1. Although easily 2. We just restrain ourselves. DD is the garlic bread police. At the beginning she always clarifies ‘2 bits each?’ And woe betide you if she thinks you’re reaching for a third as you’ll get a swift ‘how many bits have you had?’

She’s 17 😂

MrsSmith2021 · 26/01/2021 15:39

2 adults and 2 children with a couple of bits left over.

RedskyBynight · 26/01/2021 15:40
  1. Though we could probably eat more, but 2 baguettes would be too much.
Iwantacookie · 26/01/2021 15:40

Depends on how much pasta I cook. If it looks like I'm feeding the 5000 then 1. If theres barely enough for 1 person then 2.

4 ( with a pasta dish) 2 slices each is enough for us

PointBreakOrBadBoys2 · 26/01/2021 15:41

4 of us (2 adults, 2 older teens) - one's not enough, two is slightly too much: the ends get left.

It irritates me no end that there are 9 slices. It's probably the only time it's an advantage to be a family of 3.

I do a twin pack for 4 of us, but usually end up throwing some away. No one in our house likes the crunchy ends, 2 inside pieces each is our normal serving, maybe 3 for teen son or DH if they're particularly hungry.

cheeseandworcestershireontoast · 26/01/2021 15:44

Agree with @PointBreakOrBadBoys2 - I always find that for 4 people with pasta one baguette is too little and two baguettes is too much.
I have the same issue when we have beans. Everyone either ends up with too few beans or I open another tin and there’s an absolute deluge of beans on everyone’s plates.

2 as there are two of us and cold garlic bread is naff. We have been known to have one to ourselves sometimes on its own as a snack in the evening instead of tea. It's only like a standard buttered baguette. Except garlicy and way more delicious. Mmmmm.

BestIsWest · 26/01/2021 15:47

2 if it’s me and DH, 1 if it’s DS.

NothingIsWrong · 26/01/2021 15:47

2 between 5 of us

afinethingindeed · 26/01/2021 15:48

2...but that's just because there are only 2 of us and I don't like to waste any (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!). I think a baguette between 4 would be fine though.

drumandthebass · 26/01/2021 15:48

4 of us - 2 adults and 2 teens

Charles11 · 26/01/2021 15:49

5 which works out to 2 slices each.

TenThousandSpoons · 26/01/2021 15:49

4 (2 adults, 2 kids). We would like more but two whole baguettes would be too much.

movingonup20 · 26/01/2021 15:49

2, but there's usually only 2 of us, if dd is here (adult) I don't buy more

ImnotCarolineHirons · 26/01/2021 15:50

One baguette just about does the 3 of us (teen DC) but if I do two baguettes it mostly all disappears as well.

DamsonBramble · 26/01/2021 15:51

I buy the tesco value ones (called something else now.) I have one end piece and my 2 teenage dc share the rest
