@MacDuffsMuff - that looks far too posh re what I remember! It was a slightly taller and slimmer bottle, think it had red writing/pattern on it.

Mind you, am getting on a bit now, so can’t really rely on my memories!

Aqua Libra was amazing, I miss that so much. What's the new version mentioned upthread called?

Another fizzy drink called Quattro from the 80's.

Linda McCartney veggie pies before they changed the recipe, they've not been the same since about 2000 but I ate one of those most weeks during the 90's.

M&S used to make jacket potato and butter flavour crisps which were just the best - I still look for them even now. And Sainsbury's also made these amazing garlic bites that were like big crispy croutons, haven't seen them in years.

Those thin little pastel coloured sticks of rock/confectionery you could buy in a sweet shop, slightly chewy - those!

Fizzle sticks?

Roasteros · 18/01/2021 06:44

Napolina amatriciana sauce in a jar

Monster Munch back when they were fried, I’m sure they were a heart attack in a bag but my god they were delicious, full of flavour.
Also all drinks back before they filled them with aspartame, especially Sprite and Dr Pepper, all sweeteners leave a revolting taste in my mouth.
Cadbury’s Christmas Puds, Cadbury’s Coconut Boost, Mint Wispa and Revels before they swapped the peanut for the raisin.
Salon Selectives shampoo (🎶like you just stepped out of a salon🎶) the smell was lovely and appley.
And Worcester Sauce Twiglets, so sadly missed.

Cosmetics to Go instead of Lush.

TheDuchessOfAquitaine · 18/01/2021 06:53

I can’t remember the brand...maybe Ross or McCain frozen spring rolls...big fat spring rolls that were basically a meal in themselves. Bunged them in the chip pan for 5 mins and voila...crispy pastry packed with vegetables. Staple of my teenage years. Spring rolls these days are such a disappointment...all soggy pastry and stingy fillings.

TheDuchessOfAquitaine · 18/01/2021 06:53

Also second Ice Magic

risefromyourgrave · 18/01/2021 06:55

@Bumpsadaisie be warned, Wham bars are not the same any more, they are no longer shiny and when you bite into them there’s no ‘stretch’. I got one for Christmas in a selection bag and it was a massive letdown.

Bumpsadaisie · 18/01/2021 07:00

Oh dear. It was the chewiness that got me and the fact you could stretch it!

Manzana · 18/01/2021 07:15

Smith’s Cremolia hand cream sold by Boots, it was an odd grey jelly like hand cream, I’m really selling it here, but it was a fantastic hand cream for dry skin. And cheap. Used it for 40 odd years until Boots decided it was no longer worth it. My hands really miss it.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 18/01/2021 07:19

Something called Pretty Feet.
Utterly brilliant for getting rid of hard skin. God knows why it’s not available any more -at least I haven’t been able to find it for years.

@Prettybubblesintheair I've just had a look on Amazon for Cream Silk - it's the same in name only unfortunately

Bythemillpond · 18/01/2021 07:38

Schwarzkopf used to do a particular hair dye. It was so simple and easy to use. I have dark hair with a lot of grey and it actually dyed even my grey hair brown and not red or orange that a lot of hair dyes do now when using brown hair dye on grey hair.

BikeRunSki · 18/01/2021 07:43

Johnson’s 5.5 shampoo.
I found some old stock in a village chemist in N Wales a couple of years after it went out of production and bought the lot (it was only 3 bottles, but still).

Not quite the same but Coop did Roast potato crisps just before Christmas last year. They were good!!

Real Lucozade with sugar/glucose and not disgusting sweetener. It used to be a real pick me up when I was ill . Cremola foam reminds me of my one and only holiday as a child as my dad would not go anywhere. Chesswood creamed mushrooms were my go to quick meal on toast .
