If you could be anywhere, doing anything....

With anyone right now....what would you be doing?

I’d be sitting on a beach, in the sun, with my granddaughter, eating ice cream and building sandcastles.
I miss her cuddles, her laugh and her love of everything new. She’s the funniest 2 year old I’ve even known (I’m biased, I know!)
I just love her love of everything and I miss her so, so, so much.

I would be alone, doing yoga on a beach in Greece watching the sunset.

Unreasonabubble · 15/01/2021 19:52

Sailing around the Greek Islands in beautiful warm sunny weather and looking forward to sundowners at the end of the day.

MrsDThomas · 15/01/2021 20:13

In the pub with my girlfriends planning our trip to Rome which has been cancelled twice.

CovIneedanamechange · 15/01/2021 20:16

Somewhere on my own with no-one talking to me or asking me to do something and with no phone or internet....in fact maybe a flotation tank!

BlairCorneliaWaldorf · 15/01/2021 20:19

On my way home from post work drinks. That would be an absolutely normal pre Covid Friday night and I just want to be doing something normal!

I definitely wouldn’t be with my kids. Or my husband. I’ve been with them constantly for the last 10 months!

AcornAutumn · 15/01/2021 20:21

Bar with my best friend.

Phyllis321 · 15/01/2021 20:24

Sitting on a beach in Cornwall listening to the waves, wrapped up warm, with a little bonfire, a few beers and my best friends,

TinySongstress · 15/01/2021 20:26

It'd be Christmas 1988. I'd be 7. I'd be at my now deceased grandparent's with my mum & dad and there'd be a sparkly tree and The Snowman on the tv and the adults would be tipsy on Martini Rosso and I'd have a lemonade. Sad

MarshaBradyo · 15/01/2021 20:26

In the Maldives watching the sun go down from my water bungalow and getting ready for dinner at a table surrounded by palm trees and a warm breeze!

missmouse101 · 15/01/2021 20:31

Having a meal at the Italian restaurant with my friend before going back to my peaceful, tranquil, fresh, tidy and clean home where I live alone, very happily.

crossstitchingnana · 15/01/2021 20:31

Hugging my mum and dad 😥

SomewhatBored · 15/01/2021 20:31

I'd be having a meal with my parents, husband and sister.

frustrationcentral · 15/01/2021 20:33

I'd be walking along the beach with my family and our dog - ideally in north Devon

RenegadeMrs · 15/01/2021 20:33

@speakout honestly came here to post something exactly like this.

DH does yoga too so he could come with me, but only if he's very very quiet.

TheoriginalLEM · 15/01/2021 20:33

On my mums back garden while she sits and "supervises" me and DP cutting her lawn. Throwing a ball for her huge dog

Dog died five years ago. Mum died at Christmas.

Realistically- sat outside my tent watching dp and dd melting marshmallows on the camp fire. Wine in hand, dog on lap, wrapped in a fleece. I NEED to go camping before i lose my mind.

Dugee · 15/01/2021 20:34

A beach bar on the Med, eating seafood and listening to the sound of the waves crashing. Looking forward to days of not much to do, other than eat, read, play with DD, swim and relax in the sun.

36degrees · 15/01/2021 20:35

Putting the world to rights in my best friend's flat with a decent bottle of red and some music of our youth.

Oh my god this almost made me cry. I wish so much for christmases like these. I wish I could go back to the days when Christmas was so truly magical. I used to love those days.
dudsville · 15/01/2021 20:38

Seeing my family, eating together, talking nonsense and laughing.

Lesina · 15/01/2021 20:41

Sitting in my newly restored old stone house over looking Hvar harbour, with the wood fire burning.. reading a novel. One day :)
