Not sure if it is permitted to talk about this but has anyone seen the allegations? I'm not easily shocked but if it's true then.....wow

No, no, I don't think the peach scene was bad, ok, not something most people would do, or want to watch but he stopped immediately and hugged Elio as he cried.
I don't think anything in the film, or book is hugely worrying.

GingerScallop · 15/01/2021 05:19

I noted BBC hasn't said why there is alleged abuse www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/entertainment-arts-55658896 Way to support women BBC! AH sounds vile

Kote · 15/01/2021 07:00

Wow. Have just read through all the messages on Instagram. Truly sickening.

covetingthepreciousthings · 15/01/2021 07:25

Do we think the police will become involved? I suspect more people will no doubt come forward with stories about him
now..

I've always been surprised that he hasn't been a bigger star than he has - I think a pp mentioned it too like not getting a superhero casting or such, since he is a pretty stereotypical good looking actor for those big style roles. Maybe it was known in the showbiz world that not all was as it seemed?

Wackadoo · 15/01/2021 07:28

I'm rarely shocked these days but I can't believe how brazen he was about it! I wonder if subconsciously he wanted to be caught out?

Whatwouldscullydo · 15/01/2021 07:30

Good god.

Now more than ever we need to teach our children about boundries and consent. This has to be partly down to the complete normalisation now, of dangerous/harmful and most likely damaging and not remotely enjoyable activities...

The dice game doesn't seem.like such a good idea now. If inserting objects is normalised then how far will people go to be "shocked"

The sooner it becomes less acceptable to flaunt your kinks in public the better

Frownette · 15/01/2021 07:38

It all sounds a bit American Psycho. I'd never heard of him until the rumours about Lily James.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 15/01/2021 07:41

Who are these women he has been messaging? Just randoms or who?

covetingthepreciousthings · 15/01/2021 07:44

Who are these women he has been messaging? Just randoms or who?

I think from what I've gathered there's been multiple young women who he has called 'kittens' (slaves), that I think were potentially fans he 'met' via social media?

But then there is also ex girlfriends / people he's briefly dated that seem to be backing up the leaked messages as true.

I'd be very surprised at this point if it was all fabricated as there seems to be too much, and I'd also assume someone from such a wealthy background would have had lawyers nip it in the bud sooner than this had there been no truth. Especially as it will affect his career.

Whatwouldscullydo · 15/01/2021 07:45

Don't think that really matters.

Just goes to show that money cant buy sense. Men really do not seem to even worry about being careful what they say /do in tests any more. Quite happy to just come out with it. I'm sure many women are more surprised if the chats remain about work/hobbies/weather and the only pic is their pet cat.

Armie Hammer: Actor pulls out of film over 'vicious' online abuse - BBC

Interesting the BBC went with this headline without detailing at all why he may be getting online abuse!

Yeah..... that's a reason to pull out of a film Hmm It's actually because the bond company won't insure him now and/or he has been fired.

I’ve read all the messages on Instagram and feel absolutely sick. Agree he is so brazen about it and there appears to be no effort to hide his identity in any of the Instagram messages, what with sending pictures of himself alongside his disgusting texts.

Rollergirl11 · 15/01/2021 09:58

The screenshots show that a lot of the women started out as fan girls that messaged him on social media and it moved on from there. One of them he’s even arranging to meet in a park when he has his daughter with him.

I wouldn’t wanna be his publicist at this moment in time, that’s for sure! ShockConfused

He actually said in one of the screenshots that he did want to be caught out, so you're right.
tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 15/01/2021 11:07

It's gobsmacking how an entitled a man will openly behave when he believes his wealth, connections and privilege will protect him.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 15/01/2021 11:08

Sorry - forgot to add, comparisons to Patrick Bateman are also going through my head too.

DH and I saw him in a film recently called ‘Wounds’ which was very David Cronenburg and weird. I remember we commented at the time that it was a strange film for him to do. Now not so much! I wonder if he was drawn to all the gore!

We thought the exact same. Very odd film indeed.

It's called a Vore fetish isn't it? I've heard about it on Dan Savage. Doesn't seem to be super unusual but he seems like he's taken it to a really extreme, dark place. Maybe that's what happens when you have that level of spoilt entitlement being a Hollywood actor brings you.

I liked Wounds, it was original with an interesting premise.

Vore is more digesting someone whole, I think. He's keen on dissection, and eating someone piece by piece. Also vore ties into an inflation kink quite frequently from what I know (like that scene in Men in Black II where Serleena eats that guy in the park and gets very fat, hope someone knows what I'm on about Grin).

I have too much useless knowledge Blush

covidaintacrime · 15/01/2021 12:14

For those who would like to be educated on niche fetishes, according to Urban Dictionary:

Short for "voraphilia" or "vorarephilia": a fetish in which one fantasizes about being eaten alive or eating another creature alive (sometimes known as phagophilia). The most common type of vore is "soft vore", being swallowed or swallowing whole with no bloodshed. There is also the less common "hard vore" which involves the tearing and chewing of flesh. Other types of vore include macrophilia and microphilia, in which one character involved in the vore is larger or smaller than normal.

Many might associate vore with cannibalism; however, most voraphiles do not favor cannibalism. Vore is an imaginary fetish; that is, it is impossible to perform in real life in the way most fantasize, unlike most cannibalism.

(not trying to be insensitive at all, just spreading some info!)

ComDummings · 15/01/2021 12:19

I read all the stuff and he sounds like an absolute nutter. I’m all for ‘you do you’ enjoy your kinks etc but he’s deranged.
