As well as film and directing, Kim Cattrall does a fair bit of stage acting. I saw her in a Tennessee Williams play at the Old Vic and she was good. And I know Cynthia Nixon went into politics and activism but she was terrific in an Emily Dickinson biopic four or five years ago.

This always annoyed me too. I think he'll be called Brady Hobbs, with Miranda keeping the surname Hobbs after marriage and Steve either keeping Brady or changing to Hobbs.

My hopes for the series:

1. Steve dies by falling down a manhole. After being sad for a while, Miranda finds a new love who doesn't require her to be mean mommy.

1. Burger comes back, Carrie has an affair with him, Big dumps her, she gets shafted in the divorce and has to start pimping her articles out to Buzzfeed.

1. Charlotte has adopted 5 more children and is run ragged by them.

1. Stamford died and Anthony spiralled into depression, getting so much plastic surgery he ended up unable to close his eyes, like Liberace

Kim C was brilliant as Caroline Kipling (wife of Rudyard) in “My Boy Jack” alongside David Haig and Daniel Radcliffe. All 3 were great actually.

Nah, that's a spin off. Although they are often pants too. The reboots are all the shows that reappear after a few years.

She used to live a great lifestyle in NYC considering she wrote about 500 words a week and the occasional shit book. I'd like to see her churning out listicles for minimum wage in the new series. (Big has died and left all his money to a charity that matches 26 year olds with washed up divorcees.)

Kim C seems to do most of her acting work in the UK now, I really liked her part in that mediocre agatha christie they had at christmas few years back. She was the only really decent bit.

Sam’s funeral will open the series. She will be sorely missed as the only likeable character they had.

Me and my best friend were heavily into SATC in the 90s/early 00s and we have always said why was it never addressed that Brady got absolutely screwed in the name department once his parents got married. His name, at best, is just a surname, like if Sophie Ellis-Bextor was just called Ellis Bextor. Hopefully he’s given himself a nice, normal first name and is known around town as Jim Brady-Hobbes or Pete Brady-Hobbes.

I think that we all need to just agree that the second film isn’t canon and say the last we knew of any of them was in 2008 as Carrie and Big had their low key, registry office wedding, Charlotte and Harry had the new baby, Miranda and Steve had patched things up and Samantha was just turning 50.
