KC was the best actor in the series. Hands down. SJP’s ego will know no bounds.

SJp can’t be doing it for the money she’s just made $12 million dollars on her house sale. She does seem to be always flogging something though whether it’s shoes or her new wine range. She’ll be on QVC next. I do love her style though. And at least she doesn’t parade her kids in front of the press unlike her BF Andy Cohen.

The one who played Charlotte will probably be glad of the work.

I didn't mean it in a bad way either. I agree that it would be nice to see.

Not a single 'reboot' of anything has been as good as the original. Ranging from not quite as good to appalling, naming no names. And I can't think what new things this show has to say that haven't been covered elsewhere.

Why are they still flogging this dead horse? The series aged horribly and the last film was garbage. Plus no Samantha...! Just leave it where it belongs, in the past!

Am intrigued but I do hope Carrie isn't going to be backwards and forwarding with Big again.

Their storyline has played out, if they aren't happy he needs to be completely out of the picture, I can't stand them fannying about over wardrobes and sides of the bed any more!

I have nothing positive to say about this. Other than that it couldn't possibly be worse than that awful, awful second film. Mark Kermode had an epic rant about that, which totally nails everything that is wrong with it:

I hope Miranda is happy, I really identified with her character, the combination of being determined and logical but not quite sure of herself at the same time.

It was a horrid show to begin with. What are they renewing it for? No original ideas left anymore?

The brand is still strong, SJP has millions of followers, I don't think sheer will by SJP would have been enough on its own.

I think it’d be incredibly tacky to kill Samantha off just because the actors are feuding. Plus I’m sure they’ll want to keep the possibility open of yet another movie or series.

I had read that the third movie was supposed to involve the death of Big. That would make more sense. He’s older than Carrie and has heart problems. And unless they had another tedious breakup it’s the only way they could get her back on the dating scene. They need one of them to be single surely?

I’m quite looking forward to it: it was always glossy, escapist twaddle and surely that’s what we need right now?

I used to love SATC but tried to rewatch it a couple of years ago and found myself cringing at how dated it is. Samantha was also the best character by far so there's really no point in resurrecting it without her. Sorry but it's a no from me.

I loved the first four series, found five and six patchy at best, and thought the films were indescribable. When the TV show was good, it was great, though. It will be interesting to see it updated to reflect 2020s life and New York.

I always think Sarah Jessica Parker gets a lot of stick for playing what was in many ways a bold role. I never thought Carrie was meant to be especially likeable, and why should she be anyway? In some ways it's just perpetuating misogynistic tropes to expect female characters to be 'likeable'.

I rather admired that she pulled out the selfishness and mercuriality of Carrie's character without sugarcoating it.

I do wonder if the show will work without Samantha though.

I wonder why SJP wants to revive so much? The two films - 2nd of which even she must have known was awful- constant attempts for a 3rd and now this mini series. Just the money?
