Im not convinced they retire early in nyc my friends sister is 65 and still puts her trainers on to run to work from the subway! He looks good for 66. The other three are only a couple years older than me so plenty of directions to go. If its called something else then maybe its going in a different direction.

The first film wasn't too bad, now we can look back through the prism of the second one. The 'fat Sam' storyline is awful, and the idea that Carrie would decide that Miranda's passing cynical comment to Big had ruined her wedding was beyond stupid, but it wasn't actively dreadful.

The second one gave us Liza Minelli singing Single Ladies, which was about five minutes in, and then needed to stop right there.

Maybe big will get ill and die and while nursing him Carrie will realise how materialistic and self absorbed she has always been. She will reinvent herself as a social justice warrior fighting for universal health care. Wearing clothes from Walmart.

I liked the first movie too! The second, well less said about that the better. I watched it avidly back in the day but even though the boxset is still in the dvd shelf have no inclination to watch it now. Probably won't watch this one either to be honest! Well, maybe the first one to see what they've done, but I can't imagine loving it the way I did at the time.

I really like and respect Kim C. They made out like she was putting kids on the streets for turning down the last film. she can do whatever the fuck she likes, Sjp has made it bloody clear she does it for the money (nothing wrong with that but dont give others shit when they dont want to do it)

If Samantha is going to be killed off I wonder how they will deal with it? They could begin the series with her death. I think they know Samantha has a considerable fan base who would expect her to receive her due, even if she is. It on screen.

This would be preferable to having her have died just after the last movie.

I have always assumed that Miranda and Brady kept Hobbs. Maybe Steve took Hobbs too

I was put off SATC only because I worked with a very annoying woman who modelled herself on Carrie down to the looks and behaviour etc... she had the same bloody first name as her and I was so glad when she was made redundant...
