DOMS was brought on by boot camp, after the post Christmas realisation I was currently packing far too much fat.

I've just googled your namesake Barry, who looks to be quite ferocious. I'm glad you're over the soreness.

DS survived the first day of his online internship and was happily making pizza when I got home. Of course, today was just an orientation without any actual work.

Duvet cover went through the wash yesterday, duvet went through today. Now I have to fight the fight of reuniting them. Might do it in the sitting room, more space.

Pillows tomorrow.

I'm watching 90 day fiance and the lady has her cat in the bed and its bowl of milk, surely that isn't going to end well?

It's snowing here, very peaceful.
Made a pasta bake for dinner, very tasty.
Did laundry.
Managed to knock the curtain pole down pulling the curtains shut.
Trimmed DD's fringe today.
Still got loads of odd socks in a big bag.

DH is breathing really loudly in his sleep again.

@grassisjeweled god tell me about it, I have to proceed drawing it/opening it very gingerly lest it clonks on my head.

I'm starving so may have to get up and have some toast, I have chocolates in my bedroom but want something savoury

I have been woken by the biin man. The yellow bin is empty now.

DH just woke up and I mentioned that the cat had done a single howl before and he went downstairs and gave her a kiss on the back of her head as she was sleeping.

He will go back to sleep again.

I was looking up books for DS.

Contemplating asking/telling my boss that I will be taking some time back tomorrow morning. I’ll use it to tidy, clean, run and meal prep. As leaving early never ever ever happens. DH is supportive as I worked so many extra hours (unpaid!) last week and was home late again last night.

I’m thinking about it which is a step forward for me.

We had curtain poles like that. One day I went into the bedroom and they'd literally fallen out of the wall. A few days later I opened the curtains in the living room (gently) and that one fell down too. When the handyman came to fix them, he secured a block of wood to the wall first and screwed the pole into that. They're solid now but the bedroom ones still make me twitchy. My house is Edwardian and the walls are basically made of sand.

Lots of shepherds pies yesterday. I too made it - but with turkey mince & sweet potato added to the mash. Not sure what you'd call that.
I have to go to the chemist on the way to work (which will make me late but as I'm the only one there I'm not bothered) for my mum's prescription. Also have to get her another box of tissues as she's down to her last 10 boxes. This isn't Covid related, she's always been like that, I think because she grew up during the war. Thing is, I'm slowly turning into her.

This tells me I am not properly awake despite having gone downstairs, made tea and returned to bed to drink it while browsing on my iPad.

Thanks @EggyPegg My Head is generally supportive, but not sure how they will react specifically (if that makes sense). I’m senior staff (non teaching) in a primary and work so many hours over and above contracted, am am usually happy to do so. I love my job and I know that what I do makes a difference to families. But...

@HelenaJustina, you won’t be any help to all those families if you are burnt out - take the time and don’t spend all or even most of it doing chores - take some time to sit and stare into space as someone upthread mentioned. Also, whilst you can be nice about it, tell your head - don’t ask for permission.
In complete contrast, my work is pretty quiet at the moment.
I am still watching Gavin & Stacey - got to series 2 episode 4. I have no idea how many series there are and of those, how many are available on iPlayer 🤷‍♀️
