@kittlesticks - I'm so glad that things are smoothing out for you with the baby. It's hard on the older kids when a new sibling comes home. They feel like they've lost their relationship with their mum, so you've done exactly right by giving your DS some extra attention.
@DoctorTwo - Any idea what has made you ill? Well done for curtailing your drinking and smoking.
It's been really quiet here. I feel a bit guilty that I've neglected the thread all day. I did a quick supermarket shop this morning, did some cooking, and had a nap. I then watched a few episodes of Surviving Death on Netflix. It's really good, but I think they spent too much time on mediums.
The men are making mac & cheese to have with burgers tonight. After dinner, I'm going to make a pan of peanut butter swirl bars (swirled with chocolate). They are DD's favorite and she'll take them to uni with her on Monday. My biggest concern for her is what she'll eat there as she's such a picky eater.
DS's navy blue blazer may have survived its trip through the washing machine. We may replace it anyway as the lining is torn in a few places. Giving it some further thought, it was his navy blue suit we bought for him 3 years ago, not the jacket. The jacket was a hand me down from my MIL and I have no idea how old it is. I'll decide after I iron it.
I have to admit, I'm getting a bit sad about DD leaving for uni on Monday.
