I'd love a nice walk, might take a late one. The clothes dried to smell of...washing powder. I found that a bit odd since they were definitely musty prior to that.

@MissConductUS it's bound to be a bit sad when she first goes but you'll soon look forward to her updates :)

We have awful condensation which leads to mould in our bedroom and tonight I got a very flashy dehumidifier 75% off.
And then I got a beautiful reading lamp 75% off too!

It's made me happy.

Was the dehumidifier from a UK site? Ours is on it’s last legs. I need details.

My watch thinks I’ve done 16000 steps. I’ve slightly forgotten to tell it that I spent an hour earlier riding a horse.

I’m cold. Mind you I am eating ice cream so I really only have myself to blame.

MissConductUS · 15/01/2021 20:54

Welcome @davekim, and thanks for your shopping news, which has elicited great interest from Soddingkitten.

Not much news here. I've just discovered that we're going to save a lot of money on our car insurance due to DD being away at uni without a car. Dgirlcat did not want to eat dinner until I opened a new can. Fortunately, Dboycat was happy to eat the leftovers from breakfast.

Just tried the mint chocolate popcorn that came with the 'pub in a box' I got DH at Christmas. I offered DH some. He declared it tasted like dog food.

EggyPegg · 15/01/2021 21:25

@davekim. Welcome. We get mould too, so also have a fancy dehumidifier. It can be remotely controlled using the WiFi. We did it once when we got it and then the novelty wore off. @soddingkitten, I'll find the details.

I didn't run today. Or yesterday. I feel no guilt.

I have thread worthy news, I had an Amazon delivery of a giant drawstring mat today. We have one already for the Lego, but there's so much Lego in it now that it no longer fits in the Kallax (Drona) boxes. So I bought a second one to split the Lego and be able to put it away.

The cord lock (the spring toggle thingy) on my original bag has broken so today I have ordered a new one. I only want one. Amazon were keen to sell me packs of 200. I went for a pack of 10.

In sad news, DH and DS took DDog1 to be put to sleep this afternoon. His decline was quick and mercifully curtailed by our lovely vets who stepped in and found us an appointment at the last minute. Due to self isolation rules I could not go which will haunt me more than the actual act itself.

kittlesticks · 15/01/2021 22:17

@Champagneforeveryone so sorry - what sad news for you all.
Sending love.

halfpasteleven · 15/01/2021 22:18

That is really sad news @Champagneforeveryone, I am so sorry for your loss .
Sending love and strength to you all.

Sunbird24 · 15/01/2021 22:28

So sorry @Champagneforeveryone, how awful for you

soddingkitten · 15/01/2021 22:36

So sorry to hear this champagne. 💐

Frownette · 16/01/2021 05:48

Sorry Champagne Flowers

He won't be in any pain anymore, though you'll miss him so much

Frownette · 16/01/2021 06:39

I've done a face scrub, charcoal mask, showered, and now have a moisturising mask on.

Funnily enough it's been good for me isolating this week, I'm starting to take care of myself more.

I want a gorgeous breakfast next but rainfall is quite heavy so I'm holding off going to the supermarket at 7am and will wait til it's cleared a little.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 16/01/2021 07:05

Champagne I am sorry!

TenCornMaidens · 16/01/2021 07:10

@Champagneforeveryone I'm so sorry. Sad

It is snowing here, and settling. My dd will be delighted - snow on Christmas Day AND her birthday!

Deathraystare · 16/01/2021 07:20

I have still not gone out walkies since before lockdown and I deffo feel all the worse for it. Must get motivated (weather not helping!).

Very cold at silly o'clock this morning while waiting for the bus. I thought there was the beginning of snow but as I am in West London I think it might have been sleet. Felt icy anyway and stingy on face.

The porters had had the radiator on when I got into work. Normally I would not be happy because it would make me head-achey and hot but bliss this morning. Turned it off now though.

Had to come into work lipstick less which feels weird. We now have to wear a mask all the time. We were exempt because we are in an enclosed area but too many people come into our office now - mostly wearing their masks as fetching chin warmers. It is a hospital guys! You work on the ward. You should know better!!!

On early shift so should, in theory, have time to do some more packing when I get home. Will probably do what I did yesterday though, sit on bed watch tv and then suddenly wake up!!!

Frownette · 16/01/2021 07:24

@Deathraystare I've just put on some nice make-up but will have to take it off before I go to the supermarket avec mask!

Why do you think people pull their masks down like that? I often see shop workers do that, assume they find them difficult to wear all shift.

Spudlet · 16/01/2021 07:39

@Champagneforeveryone I’m so sorry Flowers

kittlesticks · 16/01/2021 07:52

It's snowed in our part of the world. It's pathetic British snow, barely covers the drive.
We can't even get snow right!

HeronLanyon · 16/01/2021 08:11

And when we do occasionally get snow right we ‘go all wrong’.
I thought briefly about getting my cheapo snow boots out for a walk later just in case and then looked out at the drizzle and decided to leave them I found for a bit longer.

Therainisback · 16/01/2021 08:16

So sorry Champagne Flowers

EggyPegg · 16/01/2021 08:17

@Champagneforeveryone, I'm so sorry Flowers

MissConductUS · 16/01/2021 08:47

I'm so sorry to hear your news @Champagneforeveryone. You will miss him but think about what a good, well-loved life he had.

MN was offline last night when I went to sleep, so I'm glad to see it's back up. It's pouring rain here, so dreading getting ready for my run.
