What's your daily pleasure?

I am currently on mat leave with a 2mo and wild 2.5 yo. I am really struggling. I think I need something to look forward to every day so wondered what your daily pleasure is? Need some inspiration!

Cuppa and 15 mins of my book before I get up!

Right, this sounds a bit sad but I put my diffuser on in my room with some really nice essential oils. It wasn’t expensive but it’s so nice! Makes the room smell lush and i find it really relaxing. Didn’t expect to like it that much Sometimes I put a face pack on and sit next to it with a glass of wine. I don’t have children (although I work with them) though so it is easy to get the uninterrupted time.

A walk to costa and a latte.

I have a really nice breakfast. Every day. Splash out on lovely fruit and the expensive granola and my favourite yogurt. Also scented candles in the evening, nice hot chocolate. So I have something nice at each end of the day!

A quiet coffee all by myself

Reading a book in the bath

20 minute very hot shower.

Proper nice coffee in the morning.
A walk
Some good tv
Music

A cup of tea, a biscuit and a few chapters of my book before bed.

Dreaming while I'm asleep. It's a change of scenery.

A cup of decaf tea and a really nice chocolate, with either book or TV, after kids are asleep and chores done.

Watching really trashy tv.

Peroni or a glass of white wine at 6pm - after 4 children 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bakedbeeeen I have the same breakfast as you and it's my fav meal of the day ( I have pineapple with granola and Greek yogurt ) .
I also love feeding the birds every morning - their chatter always makes me smile.

Full fat milk on my porridge!

Decent coffee - and, probably of no help to you, but I make sure I have plenty of time to myself - I really need a lot of 'me time' - in fact my DH only been home a couple of hours after a 24 hour business trip (yes, permitted under Covid guidelines) and I'm already feeling irritated ... and I absolutely made sure I only had one child who is now at Uni.

Ice cream or chocolate after DC's bedtime.

Please someone help me break the habit!

After my two year old goes to bed I like to put on some music and dancing around in my kitchen, usually in a rather seductive manner, think pussycat dolls style. My neighbours would probably be mortified if they saw me, thankfully our kitchen window faces a 30ft wall and my only audience is the washing machine and microwave.

I wake up before DD and DH to have a coffee and read The Times.

A bath, every single evening after everyone has gone to bed, with bubbles or oil and either a newspaper or a book. Perfect!

Getting a newspaper every day. I can’t always be bothered to read it, but I scrapbook, so I know the paper will be read eventually.

It was a swim on my 3 work days at lunchtime but that’s out the window now. So it’s currently going to bed early and reading or MNing.

8 cups of tea. I love every one.
