Given the current pressures and having a bit more enforced time should clap for carers restart?

OP posts:
Lemonpiano · 04/01/2021 18:49

No.

Randomrebel · 04/01/2021 18:49

No definitely not a thread about this yesterday

mum2jakie · 04/01/2021 18:50

Not this again 😂 No - start a fucking collection for them instead!!

IDontMindMarmite · 04/01/2021 18:50

Please no

PodgeBod · 04/01/2021 18:50

Clapping on the doorstep has had its day. Please stop trying to revive it.

AlwaysCheddar · 04/01/2021 18:51

Nope.

ILoveCrap · 04/01/2021 18:51

No

Hope4theBestPlan4theWorst · 04/01/2021 18:51

I work for the nhs and no
First time -
Nice gesture
2nd -ok
After that it's annoying when the kids are trying to sleep and your neighbours are banging their saucepans in the street.

There are plenty of other ways to show support

EggbertHeartsTina · 04/01/2021 18:52

I read a quote from a hospital doctor the other day saying he’d probably tell his neighbours to f**k off if they started that again

Sparklingbrook · 04/01/2021 18:52

No

Shinyletsbebadguys · 04/01/2021 18:52

God No , the only people who continued doing that were massive self involved idiots. Professionally I was in social care for 20 years so have a lot of friends in care and DP is still in there. The clapping actually pissed most of them off. It wa seither disturbing shift worker sleep patterns or it just felt condescending. Lobby for pay rises ,better working conditions.

Not bloody clapping.

wherewildthingsare · 04/01/2021 18:53

Please don't start these threads again 😂 no I don't want to clap.

DeeCeeCherry · 04/01/2021 18:53

No FFS.

Those who consistently vote for a government that underfunded and undermines, metaphorically shits all over NHS Nurses and Doctors - I'd like to see that.

Oddbutnotodd · 04/01/2021 18:54

Why would we stand in the dark clapping? What would it achieve? Too many people have not stuck to the rules. Definitely no

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 04/01/2021 18:54

Nope. Won’t.

Burnthurst187 · 04/01/2021 18:55

Get a life FFS

augustusglupe · 04/01/2021 18:56

No.

Lilmzsnowflake · 04/01/2021 18:56

Please don’t. Thanks.

Ginisatonic · 04/01/2021 18:57

Absolutely not!

devildeepbluesea · 04/01/2021 18:59

Fucking hell no.

I show my appreciation by not voting Tory.

wanderings · 04/01/2021 19:00

Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! Shock

The only thing I will take part in is a massive BOO FOR BORIS.

SophieDahling · 04/01/2021 19:00

I never thought people were doing it for the NHS.

They were doing it as a way of showing solidarity with their neighbours during a lonely and isolating time.

Same with children putting rainbows in their windows. It was very touching, but it wasn’t really for the NHS.

People are just over it now.

Aspiringmatriarch · 04/01/2021 19:01

Stop trying to make 'fetch' happen.

PickAChew · 04/01/2021 19:03

TH22 · 04/01/2021 19:04
