Most overrated song ever!

Ok I'm sure this will have been done before but I'm currently listening to Greatest Hits Radio's top 500 favourite songs countdown. They've just played Purple Rain and whilst I can appreciate it's a decent song I really don't get the almost universal love for it. I'm sure Hey Jude and Imagine will be along shortly which are IMO the most over rated songs of all time. I'm also the only person I know who isn't keen on Fairytale of New York.

What songs do you dislike that nearly everyone else seems to love?

I love Love Shack! But more because it takes me back to my 6th form days rather than it being a good song. Maybe it's the memories we love or hate, not the songs themselves?

Most overrated song for me is Oasis, wonderwall.. Only because I've heard it 1billion times in my life time.

Probably in some cases, but I love many other songs from the same period, but still hate Love Shack. So grating and it goes on for ages. I don't get the love!

Purple Rain is a classic

Bohemian Rhapsody top of my list. It's awful, a bit sinister/creepy and goes on WAY too long.

Also hate Come on Eileen/Love Shack and anything by Oasis.

“can’t get you out of my head” Kylie Minogue. Couldn’t stand it when it came out in 2001 and can’t stand it now. I’m not even a big Kylie fan but can think of 5 better songs by her off the top of my head.

Another Love Shack and Imagine hater here. Also loathe Groove is in the Heart and Come on Eileen. Awful songs that should have died years ago.
