What do you put in your toastie?

We received a toastie maker as a family gift for Christmas. So far we’ve only tried ham and cheese or tuna and cheese and I’m keen to try out some other ideas.
What’s your best toastie recipe?

Bacon, Brie and cranberry.
Tuna, red onion and grated cheese.
Pesto, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.
Any leftover roast meats, ie roast pork, stuffing and apple sauce.

Nando's peri peri sauce spread on each slice of bread and then cheese as usual. To die for! A lockdown favourite in this house - DH's one and only culinary creation!

When I was at school I had a friend who had a toast or maker and we would make jam toasties and watch Grease

Chicken breast pieces with cheese and franks hot sauce

Sliced banana and nutella.

Cheese and Mr Vikki’s sweet chilli jam is my absolute favourite and is delicious 😋 😋 😋

Salty cheese and black cherry jam.

Cream cheese (plain, eg Philly) and apricot jam.

Avocado, extra mature cheddar and loads of black pepper

Pepperoni

Grated cheese with diced up onion, peppers and cherry tomatoes all mixed together. Sometimes ham too.

Parma ham and brie with nice chutney.

Bacon, chicken and cheese.

Sliced chicken & pesto
Salt beef, sliced gherkins and some mustard mixed into mayo
Ham, smoked cheddar and red pesto

Very finely sliced pear and dolcelatte.

Crinkle I love that someone else does the egg toastie. It’s important to put some salt in your egg mixture (but not too much) and use bread that’s big enough to seal up your toastie to avoid leaks. The egg cooks and fluffs up while being cooked and it’s delicious.

Clearing MIL flat we found an unused sandwich toaster from at least the early 80's so it has been a topic this week - they are not liking marmite and cheese idea or Marmite Cheese and ham

The rest the time emmenthal, cooked mushrooms and bechamel sauce. Topped with more bechamel sauce and sprinkled with cheddar plus red Leicester. Cooked in the oven to melt the filling and crisp the cheese on top a little. Crusts cut off. Heaven on a plate
