Good luck with your next transfer @Sunbird24. Will one of your neighbours be able to leave supplies for you?

@halfpasteleven Enjoy your lazy day. I'd like to have one too but the DC are already showing signs of being feral.

TillyTopper · 09/01/2021 11:09

I have cleaned all through downstairs and 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom, done the wash (1 load to go) and I'm feeling very pleased with myself. I'm just about to do my Russian language homework for some me time with a good coffee.

Doublechins · 09/01/2021 12:05

@TillyTopper you inspired me to clean my downstairs. I also need to clean my oven but I wasn't that inspired 🤣

Frownette · 09/01/2021 12:10

I had a really bad night's sleep and feel out of sorts, can't be bothered to start the housework yet.

Champagneforeveryone · 09/01/2021 12:15

Not so good news today, DDog1 is still inexplicably quite poorly and has had "appalling" diarrhoea - coming from a vet I'm selfishly a little glad that he was with them overnight Confused

Waiting for a call later today with fingers firmly crossed that he has turned a corner Sad

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 09/01/2021 12:53

I have been to the DHL shop and got the parcel, the kitchen is clean, too and the christmas decoration are down and put away.
Here's a fresh foto of the area I can take my daily walk in:

Welcome @TillyTopper. You have been very productive. I've done three loads of laundry but little else. I did clean my oven last week though so I'm still basking in that glory.

I'm so sorry to hear that @Champagneforeveryone. I don't blame you for being relieved that you didn't have to deal with the aftermath.

That's lovely @Prokupatuscrakedatus.

Champagneforeveryone · 09/01/2021 13:21

Indeed eggy, at the rate the bill is climbing it's a small win for us Grin

Sunbird24 · 09/01/2021 13:37

Sorry to hear ddog isn’t better today @Champagneforeveryone, hoping maybe he’s managed to eject some of what is causing the problem while he was at it

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 09/01/2021 13:44

@MissConductUS Yes they are littermates. Brother and sister. He is very soppy and she is adventurous.

My bin collection from yesterday morning hasn't happened yet, my blue bin is stuffed to the gills.

soddingkitten · 09/01/2021 14:44

Interesting 36 hours here. If Sodding was a human teenager he’d be grounded until Christmas. I can’t say more as it would be identifying, but he has outdone himself. 😫 Hard to decide whether he’s a tornado or a kitten. He was just doing what he does, but still!

I haven’t done much at all today, but the first week back in work was hard and I needed a slow morning. We made pizzas for lunch from scratch. I halved the dough recipe so we had very thin pizza bases. I had black olives and anchovies on mine. It was delicious.

MissConductUS · 09/01/2021 15:05

Welcome, @TillyTopper and thanks for sharing your inspirational news.

I'm on my way out to see my GP. I had some adverse reactions to the new medication she put me on yesterday and they haven't fully resolved, so she's seeing me this morning. She just happened to be on call for her group today. It's nothing terribly concerning and it might be a coincidence and have nothing to do the new med. I'll update later.

@soddingkitten just wondering how old kitten is, my two get a go off the hypers several times a day and can be destructive in their own right. They are just over 9 months. I hope he hasn't done too much damage.

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 09/01/2021 15:08

@MissConductUS hope you get your BP meds sorted out, I'm on 3 different ones and it's still difficult to control, waiting to see if need to add another as I'm maxed out already.

MrsWooster · 09/01/2021 15:10

When we used to go skiing, in the olden days of travelling, we called that squeaky snow ‘goose snow’, as we genuinely thought there was a flock of geese causing the odd, creaky squeaky noise coming from our skis!

He’s 9 1/2 months and looks nearly fully grown but still very kittenish and playful. I’m hoping he gets some sense in that head of his soon.

MissConductUS · 09/01/2021 16:16

sodding I've had a few kittens 🐈‍⬛ of mass destruction so I sympathize.

My lovely GP has ordered an echocardiogram and some blood work but there's an hour wait at the lab so I'm in my car messing about on my phone until they call me.

Dh slept in until 12.30pm then had lunch then he was going to old house to clear it but after 15 minutes reappeared back saying its too late and too foggy (totally clear sky here Smile) but he has returned with the most gorgeous cakes from our village baker full of chocolate and baileys. They were lovely so quite happy with his change of plan.

MissConductUS · 09/01/2021 16:33

@Champagneforeveryone best wishes for your Ddog.

DS is hoovering the landing! I am about to mix some dough for pizza but am putting it off because my leg is really aching for no reason, after a muddy walk but it's comfortable propped up on my desk. We can't find a film all the family wants to watch for pizza and film night.

kittlesticks · 09/01/2021 17:44

@MissConductUS hope meds issues resolve. I'm not keeping up with the thread. One of those days with the kids today.
Sushi for dinner tonight tho. Something to look forward to! And a nice glass of white wine or two.

Sunbird24 · 09/01/2021 18:01

I have pizza. And some shopping, although they did forget my jar of Nutella and there were no carrot sticks left.

Frownette · 09/01/2021 18:05

I've been really under the weather today and just resting.

Neighbour was smoking pot earlier, the smell was a bit grim. I haven't eaten yet but may get a cup of tea and some fruit and chocolate in a sec.

That's a shame about dog Champagne, hope he rallies soon.

Looks like a nice walk, Prok.

@NotanotherboxofFrogs you have bluebins?

EggyPegg · 09/01/2021 19:09

Welcome @Labobo. Did you find a film in the end?

Glad you got some provisions @Sunbird24.

I took DS1 on my run today, he went on his scooter. We went to the park I discovered on my run last week and I did laps of the field whilst he had a marvellous time on the bucket swing and pretending to play Quidditch on the toddler rockers (he's nine Grin). I soon discovered that three laps of that field was 1k.

We finished the run at Lidl as I needed cat food and dishwasher salt. However Lidl were sold out of the salt again. When we got home, my fingers were so cold that I couldn't bend them and they hurt. I had to wait for them to warm up before driving to Morrisons for dishwasher salt.

EggyCat1 has moved from the footstool to the DCs chairs. This is a good spot for her as they aren't used as often as the footstool. That's DS2 in the picture. He didn't get dressed today.

MissConductUS · 09/01/2021 19:27

Weclome @Labobo and thanks for your calming news. I admire your industry in making your own pizza dough. When I can buy them for $2 each in the supermarket it's my easy way out.

DS had his haircut yesterday and submitted his employment eligibility documents yesterday so he is prepared to start his internship on Monday.

I had to wait an hour and 20 minutes, then in 10 minutes the lab tech drew six vials of blood and did my EEG. They are going to run a covid antibody test for me. I think I'm off for a power nap now.
