Hi all!
Is anyone still awake and fancying a natter?
Me and DH aren't in a good place but we have have just built/wrapped everything for the 2 DDs and he's now snoring next to me! DDs are blissfully asleep Grin
So I'm having a wine and watching a film!
What is anyone else upto now/today?

Feeding 2 month old DS. Got to finish writing DD's card whenever he eventually decides he's had enough. DH is still mucking around cleaning up downstairs, but Santa has been. DD will be up in about 4 hours- we will be shattered later!

thelegitsantaclaus · 25/12/2020 01:31

I'm up delivering and I will be for the next few hours.

lindauk5 · 25/12/2020 01:31

Yup, no idea why I can't sleep which is stressing me out and stopping me sleeping even more, urgh. DH is fast asleep next to me and DD is soundo, I'm going to be tired tomorrow.

MrsChuckBass · 25/12/2020 01:34

Glad to hear I'm not up alone!
What is your tradition for tomorrow??
We are having breakfast of croissants/bacon rolls around 10 when DM pops in for about half an hour!
Then Xmas dinner will be about 2/3pm.
Cheeseboard/ pudding etc to follow!
Present opening will start as soon as the DDs are up Xmas Shock

I’m still up, I wanted to sort out all of the presents before going to bed but sat down and then started to feel a bit sad missing my parents who died 10 and 5 years ago so had a little cry.
Now I don’t feel ready for bed despite feeling very tired.
I’m listening to Xmas songs and just chilling until I feel ready to go up.

ParkheadParadise · 25/12/2020 01:38

I'm lying on the sofa drinking wine looking at a cocomelon doll it's really ugly. DH is building a kitchen.

vodkaredbullgirl · 25/12/2020 01:39

Still in night time mode (work nights)

TheChosenTwo · 25/12/2020 01:39

I’m up.
Just having my annual crack up about having to sneak into ds’s room and put his sack on his bed Grin it’s filled, just need to get it back in.
I’ve left dds ones outside their bedroom (because they go to sleep later than I do although they’re actually fast asleep now) but I take his presents in still.
I’m always a nervous wreck and put it off for hours and hours.
Dh is merrily snoring away!

GroundAlmonds · 25/12/2020 01:41

Yep. This is the Christmas between our Decree Nisi and our Absolute. We are together with all the DC “being friends” god help me. Grin

40somethingJBJ · 25/12/2020 01:44

I’m still awake. Had a massive panic attack this evening, which lasted the best part of 4 hours, so only started wrapping presents at midnight, and I’m now sat with a glass of wine and a bar of galaxy!

Had a very rough few weeks - dad died a month ago and I’ve been surviving on adrenaline ever since. I think it all just caught up with me this evening and I couldn’t breathe.

YewandOak · 25/12/2020 01:44

I'm still up.

Not been able to get to sleep till 3am at the earliest for the past six weeks. It's driving me mad. I'll be so glad to get back to work at some point and into some sort of a ''proper'' routine.

FestiveStuffing · 25/12/2020 01:45

Get a doppelganger second sack next year @TheChosenTwo so you can just do a straight swap, rather than ninja-ing in and out twice.

We're doing croissants and fruit juice for breakfast. Presents when we're all downstairs.

Sorry to hear you're feeling a little low @SingleHandSue. Christmas can do that.

GroundAlmonds · 25/12/2020 01:45

@40somethingJBJ Flowers

letsmakethetea · 25/12/2020 01:47

I'm up. We are still waiting for a COVID result so not sure what's happening later today (!) - meant to be at ILs for lunch. Everyone else snoozing peacefully.

Tearsfortiers · 25/12/2020 01:51

I'm up. DS has just woken up and is opening his stocking!

HumphreyGoodmanswife · 25/12/2020 01:53

I'm up. Just come up to bed after sorting everything downstairs, done the stockings up here and now wide awake. I'm too excited to sleep Xmas Grin. Eldest DC is 13 but they still all get so excited. Can't wait to see them open their presents, they've been superstars throughout this crappy year.

Flowers for @40somethingJBJ and @SingleHandSue. My lovely dad died 13 years ago and I still miss him. Hope you both manage to have a lovely day x

Toilenstripes · 25/12/2020 01:54

I’m up. DH is upstairs, snoring for England. The cat and I are downstairs drinking wine and watching White Christmas. Presents wrapped and table set.

Graphista · 25/12/2020 01:54

I'm up I always am at this time - damn insomnia

BUT tonight is an improvement as I am pleasantly fiddly on baileys and watching die hard!

Missing dd who is stuck elsewhere in Uk (grown up & covid but it's my 1st Xmas without her and it's just got me so I'm a bit weepy)

But more than happy to chat and distract others

BigCrimboCorona · 25/12/2020 01:55

This made me chuckle
Frownette · 25/12/2020 01:55

Hiccuping. Holding breath doesn't work.

Merry xmas anyway :)

I have that trouble every year it's horrible! If he wakes just say you heard a bang and his presents must have fallen over so you're picking them up...
Bluewavescrashing · 25/12/2020 01:57

I slept for a couple of hours but woke up with stomach ache. Waiting for covid results. I quite like being awake in a quiet house... We are obviously isolating so no peace during the day!

Kerberos · 25/12/2020 01:59

We had a small panic earlier when putting their presents out so did some last minute realignment which took a while. Now watching Christmas film. Mine are older so I am hoping they all sleep in :)

user1472145047 · 25/12/2020 02:01

I'm up too. X

DD woke up and came downstairs at about 11pm saying she didn't feel well. After a drink of water and sympathy I asked her if anything is bothering her. She said she was worried that the presents under the tree are the only ones she will have to open apart from her stocking. Didn't have the heart to tell her that there are no more presents, have a feeling today will be a rubbish day. (The kids had a Xbox one S as an early present).

IHaveBrilloHair · 25/12/2020 02:02

I'm up, currently putting out the rubbish and watching crap on Netflix.
I spend Christmas on my own so no need to be up early or cook dinner etc.
