I just saw a radiant bride sat in the back of a classic car

I’m in tier 4 from Boxing Day.

I cried when I saw her. Proper lump in my throat.

It really hit me what’s happening.
I’ve been really holding it together but my emotions leaked out.

Flowers bless you. I feel the same, do well usually but then ‘remember’ and feel a bit testy, usually if I see a child wearing a face mask.
Hopefully the bride will have a lovely day

WilheminaVenable · 24/12/2020 13:06

*teary, not testy Hmm

SweatyBetty20 · 24/12/2020 13:11

That would make me cry too. I just drove home from our allotment with our sprouts and four cyclists on bicycles were coming the other way dressed in Father Christmas suits. Properly cheered me up.

That's lovely. I saw someone dressed as an elf with a pointy hat on the top deck of a bus go past my house yesterday

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 24/12/2020 14:03

The thought of a radient bride in a classic car, makes me teary. How wonderful for her.

ihatethecold · 24/12/2020 14:03

I can’t believe how emotional I felt.

How lovely, I find lovely things often make me teary at the moment.

jessstan1 · 24/12/2020 14:16

What was she radiating?

An elf on a 'bus would creep me but then I don't believe in elves.

I’m in tier 4 and for the last few days I’ve seen so many doorstep reunions and people exchanging presents in the park for a few minutes. It’s very, very sad but I suppose encouraging that you can’t stop people loving each other. I smile at the people and then walk away and feel a lump in my chest.

Oh for heaven's sake, she'll be on here in a few years wailing that her husband's having an affair and you'll all be telling her to LTB!

I regularly walk past my local registry office and have seen a few brides in the past few weeks. Has lifted my spirits to see them.

Farontothemaddingcrowd · 24/12/2020 14:44

I got married on Saturday. It was beautiful and intimate.

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 24/12/2020 14:46

I walked through our local park a couple of weeks back, the registary office is in a building there and a bride and groom were having photos taken in the park gardens with a very small group of wedding guests watching. I felt just the same as you it was lovely seeing them look so happy.

Ifailed · 24/12/2020 14:48

Good to see that the bride had eaten her ready brek before leaving.

MrsBodger · 24/12/2020 14:55

I once saw a chap dressed up as Robin Hood walking down Robin Hood Way in Nottingham. Bow and arrow too!
