The Dyson, ended up with a cheap hoover from Argos that's lasted longer and works better.

My fella spent £250 (reduced from £350) on a Lego car
It’s massive and once done will be a dust collector but he wanted it
It’s not even remote controlled!
It’s just big, half built and taking up my dining table
To me Lego is tons of bricks you can use over and over again to make anything
Not an electric green car that sits there looking sad and getting in the way

I don't know if they still offer this but a few years back Dyson offered a 2 week refund on the hairdryer if you bought direct from them - they had a stand at Bluewater and I got it from there, but it was on their website too. So I bought from them, used it for 2 weeks, did not rate it and sent it back. They had to be chased for the refund, it was protracted but I got my money back. Worth researching if you are thinking of buying the hairdryer. I read that they offered to send a stylist around to show you how to use it properly before agreeing to the refund so when I requested a refund I was clear I did not need any further instruction on how to use.

My Apple Mac. Every time I need to use it, it goes off doing updates, slows to a crawl or freezes. It was supposed to sync with the rest of my apple devices but doesn’t do anything but cause problems. It’s an utter piece of crap but keeps limping on so I can’t justify replacing it. And all the stupid twee names for things just give me the rage.

PickAChew · 23/12/2020 10:50

Cordless Dyson. It's less work to take a dustpan and brush to the mess Ds2 makes with his food.

My Reebok treadmill for £500 turns out I prefer walking outdoors more now :(

ChristmasUserName2020 · 23/12/2020 10:53

£1600 on a holiday for me and my son. It was right before me and DH got together. Anyhow, I had a seizure after 2 years seizure free and DH begged me not to go as it was only 3 days til the holiday. I ended up not going and was so glad as I had 15 seizures that week 😭 I guess mine kinda worked out OK though although the travel insurance refused to pay out.

ChristmasUserName2020 · 23/12/2020 10:54

*holiday was booked before DH and I got together. D’oh 😂

NastyBlouse · 23/12/2020 10:56

Roomba. Weak suction, tiny bin, freaks out at the tiniest thing. Waste of £450.

myusernamewastakenbyme · 23/12/2020 11:24

Who in their right mind spends £500 on a pair of wellies???

SilentScreenQueen · 23/12/2020 11:25

@Isawthathaggis

My house, it’s terrible roof, plumbing, cracking plaster. Despite spending a fortune on it it’s falling down around me.
Wondering if you are my DP!
LifeAfterBreastCancer · 23/12/2020 11:29

Apart from house, car etc, my wedding dress for £2k about sixteen years ago.

BuzzingTheBee · 23/12/2020 11:31

En suite bathroom ... terrible job

Cocolapew · 23/12/2020 11:33

Hetty hoover, I loved my old Henry but this is nowhere near as good.
I just bought a Beldry stick one for £21 and it's amazing.

dollyknocker · 23/12/2020 11:42

Also agree with Dualit toaster! Has never toasted evenly now the dial sticks so you have to constantly watch the fecking thing or it just carries on toasting forever.

SweetPetrichor · 23/12/2020 11:43

Lenovo IdeaCentre pc...it cost over £1k, broke from the get go, went back for repair, worked but was never great. Replaced it within a year with a £2k HP Envy. Could have saved a fortune going straight to the Envy!

Not to sound goady, but is it possible you don't know how to use it?

Either that or it's got a fault.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 23/12/2020 11:50

My flat, sadly, which caused me a near breakdown and £10000 to get rid of all the stress. At least I'm free of it now, but renting.

RosesAndHellebores · 23/12/2020 11:53

Rover 416i
Two engines blew; one just before 12 months and one 2.5 years after that. They did replace the second one but part exchanged it for peanuts two years later.

They became notorious.

MissNat13 · 23/12/2020 11:56

A combined washer dryer! Annoying as it has broken twice and now I have to pay £14.50 per month for repairs cover.

yellowsubmarines · 23/12/2020 11:56

My house.

Heatherbell1978 · 23/12/2020 11:58

One of my kittens. Don't get me wrong, she's fab, but is she twice as fab as the other one I got at the same time, erm no.

TheSunIsStillShining · 23/12/2020 12:09

Fisheye lens for my Nikon.
Got duped in San Francisco Chinatown by what was evidently a scam. I knew it then, but still paid the 120 dollars because it was a "very good deal". I walked out and in about 2 minutes regretted the whole thing.
I am still ashamed that only once I did fall for an obvious "just now, just for you" scam.

jojogoesbust · 23/12/2020 12:52

Have to agree with the cordless Shark, it blocks constantly.

Everyone on social media raves about them normally, I was sucked in by the rave reviews. Got rid of a £20 goblin vacuum when I bought the shark that was 100 x better too :(

Holothane · 23/12/2020 13:06

My giant tv I love it and saved for years for it and my 12 9nch iPad it’s brilliant for my eyes I can play jigsaws and all my shopping and stuff.
