14mo is I'm pretty sure staying awake in protest and sheer bloody mindedness because I don't want him to pinch my nipples while he feeds. I have a raft of various breastfeeding woes at the moment anyway so feeding is sore generally.

I'm not a sweary or angry person but I want to fucking scream. I'm exhausted. He's exhausted. My nipples are in fucking agony.

I'm currently lying between my baby boy and my 7 year old. I bed share with the baby anyway, and the 7 year old just came in for a cuddle too...thankfully my 11 year old sleeps for England.. Hubby on the settee...

ClaireP20 · 18/12/2020 02:17

And God I feel your pain (nipple pain that is..)

TheCattleGrid · 18/12/2020 02:19

Thank goodness for this post! I am awake as I have had awful insomnia since Covid not helped my living in India until September and so always communicating across time zones. I hate it! I just ruin the next day for myself.

Oooh @TheCattleGrid you're in India? What's it like at the moment? Whereabouts are you?

Pumping breast milk Sad so tired but I woke up and my right boob felt like it was on fire so had to get up and express.

iamjackslaceratednipples · 18/12/2020 02:24

@ClaireP20 that sounds quite nice and snuggly. Except for poor DH. We are moving house atm and I'm seriously considering one of those enormous floor beds for the times when everyone ends up in together.

iamjackslaceratednipples · 18/12/2020 02:25

@peachypetite the 2am express is the best one! Apparently it's the one that drives production the most. Something about hormones? Ugh I'm so tired but I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Narcissistic mother trying to ruin Christmas. She's ignoring my sister and I (her form of control) so we can't organise anything.

Stress at work. I've been landed with a team who are lame and lazy and aren't doing their jobs.

tiredvommachine · 18/12/2020 02:26

Poor OP, I remember the pain of BF'ing 😭.
I am awake as I've got a terrible pain in my side, right under my right rib and have done since about 7pm. It hurts when I move and when I even yawn and I can't get comfortable. Dr Google says it could be gallbladder but I have no idea. So uncomfortable though Sad.
Wishing peaceful thoughts for all x

Frestba · 18/12/2020 02:27

Fibromyalgia.

TheCattleGrid · 18/12/2020 02:27

I came back! A year ago I sold my house and all my possessions to move to India and take up my dream job. 10 weeks later we went into total lockdown. My boss flew home but they wouldn't let me leave. So I quit late September. No job. Homeless. What a bloody year, hey!! India was super before lockdown...and seem to have beaten Covid now with a v different strategy from here....but who knows?!? Super thread. I feel less insane because if it!

HPD76 · 18/12/2020 02:28

Wild anxiety. My period is due any minute really. I get bad anxiety and sometimes have intrusive thoughts due to hormones. Can’t sleep as every time I close my eyes the thoughts get bigger. It all vanishes as soon as my period starts. Hormones are weird.

DigitalChristmas · 18/12/2020 02:28

@tiredvommachine sorry to hear you are in pain. When I read where the pain was my first thought was also gallbladder pain.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 18/12/2020 02:28

Insomnia. My BIL is terminally ill and has Covid, apparently he's very weak and has been given days. I'm not close to him and neither was my late DH, but he is still DS and DSS's uncle. I'm dreading telling them he has the same illness that killed their dad. So I'm awake, half watching Poldark and half responding to an internal request for volunteers to work on an urgent government policy initiative that will involve working all over Christmas. The joy. But if I don't volunteer I may get press ganged so better to do it of my own free will...

itsmeagainagain · 18/12/2020 02:29

I remember night feeds feels like a long time ago! I’m awake because I have a job interview tomorrow and can’t turn my brain off so I’m watching The Real Housewives of Cheshire with a cuppa. My face will look horrific on camera tomorrow 😂

PandemicPalava · 18/12/2020 02:29

Just woke up on sofa, dh gone to bed, and realised elves still in dd's room. She tucks them up in bed next to her every night so we have to do ninja moves to get them out. Have been building early morning kinetic sand scenes

Waffleblock · 18/12/2020 02:34

3 day old DD seems to be cluster feeding, she has woken every 15 minutes or so, so I haven't been to sleep yet. Feeling exhausted!

Popgoesthebubble · 18/12/2020 02:34

Up with insomniac toddler. I haven't been to bed yet.

itsmeagainagain · 18/12/2020 02:37

@AndNoneForGretchenWieners very sorry to hear that x

itsmeagainagain · 18/12/2020 02:37

@HPD76 hope you get some relief when your period arrives x

itsmeagainagain · 18/12/2020 02:38

@Waffleblock 3 days old wow congratulations!! You must be shattered x

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 18/12/2020 02:40

Thanks @itsmeagainagain

Genderwitched · 18/12/2020 02:43

My son's going out with a couple of friends tomorrow and I'm waiting for his clothes to finish in the tumble dryer. I know... I'm an idiot. But actually I enjoy being up on my own at night, I might even kip on the sofa in the peace and quiet.

iamjackslaceratednipples · 18/12/2020 02:48

@TheCattleGrid, sorry yes I see now I misread your first post. I'm sorry it was such a huge mess for you! Do you think you can try again maybe next year? Or what's next for you?

OP posts:
iamjackslaceratednipples · 18/12/2020 02:49

@tiredvommachine ugh that sounds horrid. Just in time for Christmas 😢. What goes wrong with one's gallbladder? Is it like an appendix?
