14mo is I'm pretty sure staying awake in protest and sheer bloody mindedness because I don't want him to pinch my nipples while he feeds. I have a raft of various breastfeeding woes at the moment anyway so feeding is sore generally.

I'm not a sweary or angry person but I want to fucking scream. I'm exhausted. He's exhausted. My nipples are in fucking agony.

Oh @AndNoneForGretchenWieners I'm so very very sorry. That's so sad.

@PandemicPalava that's so impressive. I am Z barely holding it all together these days and you are constructing elf antics.

Brain just won’t turn off. Stuck with another 3 week period and accompanying symptoms. Probably peri menopause but don’t know, doctors won’t see anyone atm.... driving myself nuts as I’ve done sweet fuck all for Christmas so far.... on the plus side, listening to some fabulous audiobooks Grin

I'm still working, writing a report for tomorrow which is apparently the single most urgent thing ever needed by my employer and cannot possibly wait, so I will be up all night to finish it for tomorrow (later today now I suppose!)

Ironically the report is about supporting staff wellbeing Hmm

TheCattleGrid · 18/12/2020 02:58

So many different reasons to be up!! @iamjackslaceratednipples I just need to get a job. Lots of interviews, no offers. Sadly I don't think I could go through the stress of emigrating again or put my family through it!!!! Xx

ShoppingBasket · 18/12/2020 02:59

Currently at work, even though the shift is a sleeping one my client has been talking and moaning in their sleep for the last hour. I can't settle because of it and I have to be up in 3 hours to finish rest of shift.

RollneckJumper · 18/12/2020 03:02

Insomnia, restless legs and heartburn - all pregnancy related. I'm shattered every morning and always end up napping during the day. Two and a half weeks left until baby is delivered.

BrowncoatWaffles · 18/12/2020 03:05

Just had a bit of a weird experience. Both DC have been having bad dreams all week, coming in to wake me up for a cuddle. I woke up with a start to see DS standing half in the doorway (I could see his arm and leg and his gruffalo pyjamas). Kept whispering at him to come in but he didn’t, I guess cause he couldn’t hear me properly because I was trying not to wake DH. Finally he moved back down the hall, I assumed to go to the loo. Got up to check on him... except he wasn’t there. Both kids asleep in their beds.

Have freaked myself out a bit now. Not a woo person so not worried on that score, sure it was a dream but it felt so real and there’s a bit of adrenaline now!

Sorry to see so many others awake too!

woefulinsomniac · 18/12/2020 03:10

I'm a dreadful sleeper and was woken up by DH who had let puppy out and was then stood at the back door trying to call it back in.

Now laid in bed worrying about a colleague and contemplating going for a shower.

frankie001 · 18/12/2020 03:17

Dog decided she needed a wee and a poo.

Mochatatts · 18/12/2020 03:23

Night shift. Only 15 more before I finish for maternity leave. Off after tonight til Tuesday x

isawthatt · 18/12/2020 03:28

DD has just been sick, she shares a room with DS1 so the commotion woke him up and DS2 is up for a feed😴.

duckinatruckwithmuck · 18/12/2020 03:28

I fell
Asleep at 7pm with the baby and have only just woken up. This is it, I'm up for the day now.

Peridot1 · 18/12/2020 03:46

@BrowncoatWaffles - sounds like you were half asleep and still dreaming maybe? I often do similar. Convinced I ‘see’ someone in the room but I’m actually still asleep.

I often wake at this time and can’t get back to sleep. Things swirl around in my head. I’ll try a Calm sleep story in a bit. Thankfully I don’t have to get up too early tomorrow.

Sunbird24 · 18/12/2020 03:50

Since my miscarriage I’ve been unable to get to sleep until silly o clock in the morning, and unable to wake up until lunchtime, normally with another nap in the afternoon. I really ought to try harder to get my body clock back on track!

TenCornMaidens · 18/12/2020 03:52

Think it's my hormones. Often spend an hour or two awake around now.

Glitterinthegrey · 18/12/2020 03:53

I'm working. Only 3hrs to go! 😴

User9574 · 18/12/2020 03:55

I've got insomnia. Was up late working then couldn't sleep. Over promised a report for tomorrow. And a friend is doing a drop by in the morning which I could do without as need to finish the report. I still have three more reports to finish and I so wanted to finish work at the end of this week for Christmas.

ellenleaves · 18/12/2020 03:58

Woke up to go to the loo two hours ago and can't get back to sleep, too much going around my mind around covid and Christmas.

HawaiianBlue · 18/12/2020 04:00

Baby woken up for a sleepy feed. Toddler has come into ‘big bed’ for a cuddle. He’s also wide awake and chosen now to start stringing multiple words together into proper little sentences 😀

Mally2020 · 18/12/2020 04:08

Been working a fair bit so I can stay with parents for a prolonged period working in my home city. I have also just finished masters degree coursework which has been nonstop, three 3000 word pieces so I accidentally fell asleep getting back from work at 4pm and I am now wide awake

mouldygrapes · 18/12/2020 04:14

Pregnancy, restless legs!
Woke up boiling around 3am as DP was up working late and decided to put the heating on. Now can’t get comfy and drift off again

chunkyfunk · 18/12/2020 04:15

Covid has ruined my sleeping pattern!
Bad headache earlier on so slept 7:30-9:30pm an now can't sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️

riotlady · 18/12/2020 04:17

2.5 year old is going through a non sleeping phase, she was awake from 2-6am the other night.
