I am pleased that Harry and Meghan are making a success of things.

It’s been such an eventful year for everyone with uncertainty and being pulled out of our normal way of life. It’s good to see people who left what might be considered a “golden cage” and find a way to fly.

It gives me hope and confidence that even though we may not have connections and gorgeous looks, we can step out and do things differently and still be ok

They are not overpriced, well in comparison to what’s out there. I found a similar company that offers vegan lattes with probiotics in Uk and they are just as expensive.

You lot can snigger, but I’m happy for the two of them. I like it when people take risks and try something new. I like positive stories no matter who they are.

And I may be inspired to make my own probiotic matcha latte. A bit of a change from yogurt and granola for my gut fix in the mornings 😊

@SheldonesqueIsUnwell

We could call our tears blend 'Sole te', because... well that's how it will predominantly taste!

Although, perhaps, focusing upon the natural fungi found between the toes and under the toe nails, we could call the verucca blend 'nail'd.

You don’t need me as a brand consultant at all!

Ye’ve nail’d it

Yes, so pleased two jobless, over-privileged multi-millionaires (one of whom has never had to do a day's work in his life) have managed to retain the royal titles they were gifted so that they can cash in on them overseas without needing to give anything back to the country that gave them the titles (and money) in the first place. Fab!

Not sure how it applies to the rest of us though.

Well, yes.
Arthersleep · 15/12/2020 22:14

@SheldonesqueIsUnwell

I'm also going to propose another ground breaking beverage! Just imagine this:
A dehydrated coffee blend served in a plastic free reusable glass jar. You just add a spoonful to a mug, add boiling water and stir.
Inspired by both the tranquility of nature and the strength to 'fly', we could call this new brand...

'Mellow Bird'!

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 15/12/2020 22:19

That is indeed genius.

And the use of the wurd bird is empowering the sisterhood to boot.

We are going to scratch each other’s eyes out to sup it.

You are going to thrv Grin

Are you being serious or joking? How are they taking risks? They're using money they've effectively been given for doing nothing and are doing zero worthwhile with it. I think we could all manage that
Jocasta2018 · 15/12/2020 22:28

Verruca tea with added chilblains anyone? A delightful taste of my childhood all in one cup. Simply charming.

laudemio · 15/12/2020 22:28

God I really couldn't care less what they do or what they say. I wish they would stop the relentless self promotion though, I would gladly never hear of them again.

Well, they could “cash in” on their titles staying in the UK and waving at us plebs,
or they could try something more modern and risky.
And they chose the latter and have made it happen. Good for them.
I imagine they will have to work hard for Netflix and Spotify, American companies will want value for their money.
Everyone’s story can inspire, and there are many others along similar lines. We have choices and we have assets (they don’t have to monetary, they could be educational assets) and networks, however modest they may be. And we can go out and take risks and leave “safe” yet toxic environments. And yes, thrive 😊

Wtf is a gut fix?

Back to the thread. I have no real opinion on the couple in question.

I am DYING at the side hustle about verruca tea etc, v funny women you are.

slipperywhensparticus · 15/12/2020 22:39

@Happyforthem

And I’d love to try the latte with prebiotics, great idea and 👍🏼 to the woman who started it. (And no I am not her either ) Glad that they are investing in micro businesses that focus on wellness and give back to the community
You know heat kills prebiotics right? I suppose you just have chilled latte over there its freezing over here
GCAcademic · 15/12/2020 22:50

Far from being impressed at the initiative of MM, I find myself disappointed by the lack of imagination. I was hoping for something which would top Gwynnie's vagina-scented candles. Glorified instant coffee doesn't really cut it.

The Meghan-bash loons still fixating over her, I see.

Why don't you try to get lives of your own, and stop letting Meghan live rent-free in your heads? It's not healthy to be so obsessed with someone you don't even know, will never meet, who has zero impact on your own life.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 15/12/2020 23:31

FlibbertyGiblets

The only thing that would gut fix me is a gastric band and a girdle.

Though neither are quite as satisfying as a bacon bap.

FlibbertyGiblets · 15/12/2020 23:50

Emily, are you ok? A nice prebiotic latte might help you feel better?

JaniceBattersby · 16/12/2020 00:11

I find the lecturing they do on all manner of subjects in which fthey are completely unqualified to be utterly nauseating.

Their word-salad duologues are disgustingly hypocritical. How anyone can sit in a multi-million dollar mansion with a £100m Netflix deal and then pop off to hand out food parcels to people who can’t even afford a burger without a hint of irony is totally beyond my comprehension.

I do not believe in hereditary titles so I would have liked to see this pair of cringeworthy eejits willingly hang up their crowns and actually go out into the real world and do some real good instead of lecturing others on how to do so.

When you have the fallback of the British monarchy (and they do, let’s face it, they’ll never let them fall into abject poverty) then nothing at all is a ‘risk,’ is it?

I suspect when Netflix discover they aren’t actually the Golden Geese they expected them to be, they might invoke whatever break clause they’ve inserted into the deal. And as for Spotify, then no. I don’t think I’ll be listening to hours of them rambling on about how to live our best lives.

No ta, Hazza and Mhegzz, or whatever desperate names they’ve adopted to try to display how ‘totes normo’ they are.

Everyone here is getting on with their own lives, preparing for Christmas, making breakfast for their children, getting ready for a working day.

People can comment on a thread without it taking over their lives you know, or obsessing about something in their head.

But, the do have all those things and will never be worrying how they'll pay the mortgage if they "step out and do things differently" so how does that translate into inspiring confidence in the average person who has to prioritise earning stability?
