I am pleased that Harry and Meghan are making a success of things.

It’s been such an eventful year for everyone with uncertainty and being pulled out of our normal way of life. It’s good to see people who left what might be considered a “golden cage” and find a way to fly.

It gives me hope and confidence that even though we may not have connections and gorgeous looks, we can step out and do things differently and still be ok

@wizzbangfizz

This thread is hilarious. And yes, I hope their "hard work" pays off. Can't wait to stream and listen to their content. Their talent is already shining through in the snippet I heard earlier Xmas Grin
I liked the little Spotify ad, they came across as sweet and authentic, Megs knows how to modulate her voice. DH thought it was well done from a professional perspective.

Piers Morgan is predictably having a meltdown 😃

I watched the Spotify thing yesterday as I was curious to see why it raised people's hackles, it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be but I'm still bemused why they're self appointed experts.

MarieG10 · 16/12/2020 16:14

@Happyforthem

They are using their titles for a positive message though.

Frankly I don't think there is anything positive because they are pontificating as an expat and short lived royal wife sitting on a huge pile of cash courtesy of their royal titles and frankly don't have credibility.

I'm all for them being able to live a private life of their choosing...but please stay out of public life preaching to us back in Blighty

@JamieLeeCurtains

I think it's fucking shameful that HM the Queen is forcing them to keep their royal titles. Shameful.

Free the Sussex Two!

WiseOwlWan · 16/12/2020 18:05

I find it painful to watch or listen to them.

WiseOwlWan · 16/12/2020 18:15

They created toxicity op.
They threw the queen over a barrel.
The book was an embarrassment

They wont let go of their titles.
They are making so much money for nothing.

I would have liked to have seen them lie low for a few years. In my naivety i yhought harry might get a job with a charity.

He did. The one he and M created.....

WiseOwlWan · 16/12/2020 18:28

Oh yeh. That charity!! I call it a funnel.

DeRigueurMortis · 16/12/2020 18:32
Grin
Frownette · 16/12/2020 18:36

But the funnel tunnel is very woke.

All you ignoramus can't quite appreciate the sheer delicacy of its noble wokeness.

Well you wouldn't because you're plebs.

peaceanddove · 16/12/2020 18:37
@SebastionTheCrab did you miss his military career stint that involved him deploying to a war zone??
Yeah, deployed to a war zone with his own personal protection detail of special forces personnel Hmm He was playing at war, just like he's always played at life.

DeRigueurMortis · 16/12/2020 18:49

It is massively inspiring in to see two people who've suffered so greatly and overcome so much adversity.

The impact on anyone's mental health of incidents such as not being taken shopping, not having the tiara you wanted and everyone failing to dance to your tune should not be underestimated.

Also don't forget the selfless burden of holding the newspaper's to account in a court case even when that places friends in a very difficult position. It must be agonising especially when the courts refuse to consider every allegation!!!

I'm very grateful that they take the time from what must be very busy schedules to share so much of their collective wisdom; drawn from their vast knowledge, experience and extend intellectual capacity.

I look at the backdrop of their humble home and am reminded how much we should all count our blessings - you don't need a palace to be happy!

custardbear · 16/12/2020 19:04

It appears that, for once, pretty much everyone on this thread is in agreement with Piers Morgan - who knew 😉

As for OP, you're either sporting candy floss covered candy cane, rose tinted spectacles to really not see they're both a bloody joke / embarrassment to the British and the royal family, or perhaps you're Me-gain (no smoke without fire!) or part of her greedy entourage testing the waters ?! They're decidedly glacial I'm afraid in its frostyness and likelihood of moving l

I like this description 🧊

Happyforthem · 16/12/2020 19:23

Custardbear, I’m British and I don’t find them an embarrassment. Quite the contrary. I think they are the modern face of monarchy (which is an oxymoron! And maybe that’s why some people want RF to be traditional)

Perhaps we should give all the royals a certain sum, keep their titles and have them find their own way. And then choose the most successful as the monarch. Throw some Darwinian selection to get the blood moving.

While I don’t have much regard for royalty as such, I like these two. They seem more human and I like their attitude of living life on their own terms.

Maybe you need to just accept that people have different views? 😊

I have a coffee with prebiotics in it every evening, it's not a bloody new thing that needs investing in.

Happyforthem · 16/12/2020 19:30

And if they can get their storytelling right, they are on a winner with their Spotify podcasts.
I wonder if they are getting mentoring from Oprah? She manages to hit the sweet spot with human interest stories.

I eat yoggit (as I was brought up to pronounce it)

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 16/12/2020 19:33

Maybe you need to accept that they chose to leave the monarchy and have no business trading off the family firm any more?

Happyforthem · 16/12/2020 19:33

@Twinkie01😲 tell me more! I would love some. It is too cold to eat yogurt every day and I don’t like prebiotic pills. Although I got some very effective (and expensive) ones from the pharmacy once. Thanks 🙏

Just heard that Spotify intro , but I’m wondering if it was a spoof ? , it can’t be that cheesy! It’s right up there with Gal Gadot’s sing a long.

They've, especially M been telling plenty of stories and I think that there may be many more stories to be told. Possibly not the kind of stories that H&M want to be made public. It's going to be such fun.
Twinkie01 · 16/12/2020 19:37

Bimino sachets, you get them on Amazon, they're brilliant, aren't live bacteria as probiotics are, so you can put them in a warm drink, they just make it a little sweeter.

Happyforthem · 16/12/2020 19:41

Off to look! Thanks @Twinkie01
