How many fairy lights do you put on your 6 foot tree?

I have a 6.5 foot tree. Is 200 lights and 100 baubles enough? Or should I put in an extra 300 lights.

We have a 5 foot tree and there are 200 lights - maybe we should have got 300. No idea about baubles - we probably have about 100 random decorations on there.

I have a 6’ tree, with 1000 LEDS.

I was lead to believe that you have 100 lights per foot. I have a 6.5ft tree and have 600 lights and it's the perfect amount.

I use 4000 led cluster lights on my tree, but I like a lot of lights!

I have 450 on a 6 ft tree, it's just about right so for 6.5 I'd prob want about 500 ish.

600 on 8ft tree. In my opinion not enough! Will remedy next year.

6ft tree with 1000 led.
However - it's real tree with a massive circumference and is very dense, I get 2 loops of lights on each of the lower levels of branches, and it's the led style where the bulbs are very close together on the the string (2cm between bulbs)

It also depends on the bushiness of the tree. Ours is an artificial one, so it’s pretty dense and the lights get swallowed up by the highly authentic looking foliage.

How do you drape the lights so you can’t see the string between tiers and branches?

My 7ft has 1000 lights and I don’t think that’s enough! 500 coloured and 500 soft white. Both berry bulbs so they give a lovely soft glow.

450 lights on a 7ft tree. Could probably do with a few more, but it’s just about enough.

About a billion I think.

Can I see pictures of any of these trees? I’m not sure how many we have but it looks enough to me and I’m sure it’s way less than is being suggested here. Am I doing it wrong? 😂

1400 cluster lights. Last year it was 500 and looked sad. Now, it's fab!

1000 here. Real tree wide and tall.

Not helpful but a fun fact DS7 found out today for a project is that the Rockefeller Centre tree lights stretch to 5 miles!!!

Mine has 600. I wanted more but was too impatient to wait for shops to re-open before putting the decs up. I think I'll be buying more next year instead.

I got 500 for mine which was 6ft I've now got a new 7ft and want more! I'd say get more

At least 100 per foot. And as many baubles as fit! So way more than 100.

1500 cluster lights. Think the tree is 6ft. New set I bought this year as I liked the orange and purple

Ignore all the gaps, I hadn't spread the branches out on the tree at that point as I needed to add tinsel first.

And the finished tree with all the baubles and decorations. Have no clue how many I have but the tree is very very full

I use LEDs as they are lower energy and also I love the look of the cluster lights. I have normal fairy lights on our other trees.
